I never noticed how many attributes the Tea Party and Nazis had in common. It's almost like both groups are made up of people with ideas and have to use language to express them.

Well, Part One of our experiment "Capitalism (Let's make a lot of money)" is over.
The winners will now help out with Part Two: "Total Fascists Dictatorship".
Please turn in all guns and other weapons by Sept. 11, 2010.
That is all.

Fascism came.

It just isn't ascendant yet.

Bullshiat article is bullshiat.

I stopped reading after he equated communism and socialism and also stated that socialism is a left-leaning idea.

Socialism means co-operative organization [of industry usually]. That can take the form [for instance] of a government run public school, or a group of farmers running a local market.

Socialism has nothing to do with the scale of democracy v. theocracy, etc...

His name is T.Rall/. Hmm. Looks familiar.

2010-07-29 10:58:42 AM
Somebody needs to hip Mr. Rall to the fact that it's only the 29th, and the festivities of National Hitler Month don't formally begin until Sunday.

Nah, he's got a point... The relevant part is "our daily lives". Since he's a white, middle aged, heterosexual male of European descent, the Church really doesn't do much to control him, while the Modern Left does attempt to reign in his overabusive privilege.

2010-07-29 11:00:25 AM
what you have just said, is the most insanely idiotic thing I have ever heard. At no point, in your rambling incoherent response were you even close to anything that could be considered a rational thought. Everyone in this room is now dumber for having listened to it. I award you no points and may God have mercy on your soul.

Yeah this guy needs to look at the political compass a little harder.

There's a good reason why there's TWO axes: left/right and authoritarian/libertarian.

perhaps the dumbest article i have read today. but, the day is still early, im sure there is something even more monumentally stupid just out there on the horizon waiting to be found.

Certainly a sizeable minority of tea partiers' "take America back" rhetoric is motivated by resentment that a black guy is president. "Take America back" from whom? You know whom. It ain't white CEOs.

No it aint. It's from a socialist disguised as President.

It's not control if you were going to do it anyway.

Obama wants to control healthcare, make sure everybody gets/is required to get insurance, is willing to finance it out of our tax supported, and nearly bankrupt, social security system and near bankrupt medicaid system, wants to tell states what laws they can pass, wants to give illegal aliens citizenship despite their federal felony status, etc-ad-nauseum. That's socialism in action. What do you think that makes him in practice even though not in declaration?

There's a reason why he used the term proto-fascist and not fascist.

If anyone (who is intellectually honest) can read a standard article on the tea party with typical quotes (especially if they are about Palin) and not become chilled to their core, then they aren't paying attention. All the signs of authoritarian and/or fascistic thinking are there.

They're building a cult of personality around that woman and anyone who isn't scared by that is a fool.

Luckily, they seem to be in a decided minority, so hopefully not much will come of it. My fear is that if the economy continues to stagnate or tanks again, the knives will come out.

No. No it doesn't. What you described is "collectivism" - as in "a collection of people".

"Socialism" is where the workers own the means of production. Co-ops CAN be socialist (as in the farmer's market you described), but if a group of businessmen own a machine shop staffed by people whose only connection to that ownership is a vested profit-sharing plan, that's not socialism at all.

// cue a bunch of Teabaggers telling me that the Obama administration is socialist because KENYA and socialism is DERP DERP HURR Chavez-loving commies and homoqueers.

Oh it's a lot more than that: they're both patriotic, they're both blaming everyone else for all their problems, they're both pretty racist. Beck and his ilk tend to spout Hitler-isms on a daily basis.

If you've read any history, the parallels are pretty clear.

Ted Rall has never said the same thing twice. He's a strict libertarian one day and a liberal the next. Sometimes he outright praised Bush the Second, other times he said that nothing he's ever done is worth praise. Ted, you are insane. However, I agree with this.

Because forcing people to get insured is "controlling healthcare". Next.

B A: make sure everybody gets/is required to get insurance

I see no problem with this. The days of people abusing the ER are nearly over.

B A: is willing to finance it out of our tax supported, and nearly bankrupt, social security system and near bankrupt medicaid system

What?

B A: wants to tell states what laws they can pass

OH NOES, OUR PRESIDENT STOPS STATES FROM ENACTING UNCONSTITUTIONAL AND RACIST LAWS! THE WORLD MUST SURELY BE COMING TO AN END!

B A: wants to give illegal aliens citizenship despite their federal felony status

In closing,

SHUT UP B A, YOU COCK!

Truth hurts, fright-wing retards. Keep dreaming of a pure America unsullied by nuance, foresight or ambiguity. Your visions have all the sinister fruitiness of a Thomas Kincaide painting, and are just as empty. The 1950s you yearn for never existed, at least in the way you believe they did.
