There are basic acceptable colors for sports cars.

Aqua is not one of them.

That's a pretty false feeling then, considering they could just go out and get a couple dozen more if they didn't feel like paying the fines.

Subby, it's two cars worth a combined $2.3m not 'two $2.3m cars'. Regardless, they are beautiful cars the color notwithstanding.

Twice now I've seen the same Orange Murciélago (or maybe two with the same gawd awful orange) parked in front of seperate Dominicks grocers. And I'm curious... who drives a $2M. car to get groceries at Dominicks? You'd think someone who could afford such a fiscally irresponsible vehicle would be able to afford their own persona grocery obtaining person.

In regards to the paintjob, I have to mention this particular quote from The reseteraunt at the end of the universe...

"The next one was a big one and thirty yards long- a coach-limoship and obviously designed with one aim in mind, that of making the beholder sick with envy. The paintwork and accessory detail clearly said "Not only am I rich enough to afford this ship, I am also rich enough not to take it seriously." "

2010-07-29 02:27:39 PM
The color is ugly, but it's been used for a reason if you read the article. Not saying it's a good decision, just pointing out that it wasn't a random one.

I ordinarily have MUCH more problem with the things people do with their cars while they're driving them than I do with how they park them, but what gets my ire up like nothing else is the douchebags at the bank who can't be bothered to actually find a parking spot like everyone else and instead decide to just pull up and park IN THE FARKING TRAFFIC LANE while they walk up and use the ATM. One of these days it's going to launch me into a killing spree and the cops are going to have to kill me.

It's not a new meme, it goes all the way back to 1978:

D-Day: War's over, man. Wormer dropped the big one.
Bluto: Over? Did you say "over"? Nothing is over until we decide it is! Was it over when the Germans bombed Pearl Harbor? Hell no!
Otter: Germans?
Boon: Forget it, he's rolling.

I know I'm just jealous and all that but does anyone else think those cars are really ugly? And I'm not talking about the color. They just look dumb to me but I'm not really a car-guy. I don't know why you'd want one. I'd rather buy a private jet or a submarine.

Even though it's obvious that money is no object and the owners probably already have private jets and submarines, I still think I could find something better on which to dump my money. I don't know. Maybe I would get one. It's hard to say. Not that I'm going to ever have to worry about this dilemma.

So, let me get the logic behind this -- if you park where no car is supposed to park, you are causing an obstruction, and you may be preventing disabled people or emergency services from having access to that bit of pavement. So the obvious answer to this problem is to put a clamp on the car, thereby insuring that the obstruction will be there for at least one hour longer?

Nice to see that parking enforcement isn't any smarter in the UK than anywhere else in the world.
