And yet the A.V. Club ripped her a new cornhole.

/I'd like to rip her cornhole.

That's nice that PopMatters likes it and all, but I'll pass since I've heard it's pretty terrible from others.

She gets a pass for Guyville. I know she's done farkall since but when you start off with that record, it's hard to go anywhere but down.

/That and being pretty damn hot.

I personally loved Whip-Smart and whitechocolatespaceegg. They're not Guyville, but they're still great.

After them however...

theurge14: Still one of my favorite issues for some reason.

Was it because of the Robert Redford interview?

Yeah, those are both pretty good. Point about nowhere to go but down after Exile in Guyville is a good one, though.

this.

and actually, the songs H.W.C. and Rock Me on her "commercial" album a few years ago are pretty great pop tunes. overproduced, sure, but the songwriting is top-notch. plus, she's hawt.

I may be in the minority, but I thought the first pop album she did was pretty good too.

Ahh "Self-released" - for people who are desperate to have people acknowledge their existence.

Is this where I say something about Exile in Guyville being her best album by far?

b/c major label releases are the only ones that = quality, obviously.

I've liked all her albums. Juvenalia had some gems on it. And she's hot. bonus.

The fact that there is a site called "PopMatters" just kinda pisses me off for some reason.

Liz Phair's music is awful and her new album is complete crap.

That is all.
