Y'know, Korn has been "returning to their roots" for the last 4 albums. Each and every album has been a sad attempt to recapture their first two records, and failed miserably. I'm not saying that they should stop making crappy backwards-looking records, just that they should just stop making records.

Every successful band who has had an album that bombs always releases a statement that their next album will "return to their roots".

Korn, now there's a band that sucks like hell and all the wannabe poser kids liked back in the day...while I told them "guys, Korn farking sucks!" they they replied with "Dude, you don't know anything about music, shut up!" so I went on with my life.

10 years laters? THEY STILL LIKE KORN, fark! XD

At least the Limp Bizkit bastards are eager to backpedal nowadays.

Korn is on the mainstage at Mayhem fest this year. I haven't heard anything I could enjoy from them in a looooooooong time. This should be interesting.

For the most part they are, but I know a few die hard Bizkit fans still. It's very embarrassing. Durst sounds like he's being raped in the studio on every song with that high pitched squeak he does every 5 seconds.

Korn has always been into square roots. Korn IV will be released 7 albums from now.

God damn, how many songs about teenage angst, being picked on in school and daddy issues are these guys going to write?

They stupidly ditched Terry Bozzio.

Couple of questions....

1. When did Jesus come back?
2. When did he get tattoos and braid his hair?

if it sounds like either of the first two records, then great. but i don't see that happening.

I remember being over at a friend's house, and she put a Korn CD on.

After about 30 minutes, I commented that it was a long and tedious opening song. She pointed to the CD player, which was showing me it was several songs into the album already. Well, that sure as hell told me all I ever needed to know about Korn.

I had to listen to a lot of Motorhead when I got home, to restore the cosmic balance.

Returning to their roots

So every song is going to be about how Davis's parents didn't love him and he got picked on in high school twenty years ago?

It's not too bad. After Head and David left the band things really changed. They don't have the same sound its like a different band made everything after Untouchables.

Their self-titled album and Life is Peachy were awesome.

Good thing they didn't make a whole bunch more shiatty albums.
