If you want to hear a very different demo from the final version, listen to this. Notice something?

An extended instrumental bridge? Hardly unknown for the time period. We should have more of them these days, but that would require the "talent" knowing how to actually play instruments.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but weren't they producing themselves by this point in their career? So then really, this is just a demo, or the band trying different ideas before committing to the final master of the song.

Not my favorite Sweet track, but I freaking love Sweet. I was expecting some hideous version, but this isn't bad for a demo.

production demo - its something you have to record to show the engineer and producer (who are not members of your band) what the song is going to be like in general.

SWEET ROCKS

Apart from the mix this is basically the same as the album version, isn't it? So.. the producer is valuable because he.. doesn't change anything about the arrangement? Help me out here.

Ah yes The Sweet. I saw them opening up for Cheap Trick in Corpus Christi, TX in 1979. It was my first concert ever and I had never heard of them before. I was 13.

And just look at me now.
