The best single he ever released was Wonderin'.

I read that as "Archies Vol 2, 1972-1982", and envisioned Neil covering "Sugar, Sugar" and "Bang Shang-A-Lang".

I must admit, although I'm pretty much a jazz man now I do occasionally put on Live Rust or Unplugged (love that version of Harvest Moon).

Did anyone see the PBS documentary on Neil? I think it was called American Masters.

I had no idea he was so self-righteous.

Neil Young will only become relevant again if he performs in a three wolf howling at moon t-shirt. Otherwise, we've got his albums, so that's pretty much enough.

WHERE IS THE HUMAN HIGHWAY DVD?

The blu-ray version is quite pricey, but pretty swell.

I wonder who would win in a self-righteous off.

Tom Petty (his documentary is fairly revealing as well)

Neil Young

Robert Zimmerman

Johnny Cougar (my vote)

Sean Penn

Discuss amongst yourselves.

1998 is a strange year to stop caring. Is that when you hit puberty?

Neil Young is one of the few musicians I care enough about - and who varies his tours enough - for me to bother to go see anymore.

Let's see, we have

-talented musician
-immensely talented musician
-immensely talented musician
-wanker
-talented actor

So yeah, you got it right. Cougar shouldn't have a basis (i.e. the "skills") to be so self-righteous.

American Masters
is a long-running PBS show business biography series.
