I'm going to say that it's probably related to drugs. The whole "being hospitalized for exhaustion" excuse grew old and the publicists had to find a new excuse.

Mmmmm ... I'd say drugs or depression.

And we're still supposed to think she's boring because all she does is compose and perform instead of, say, get arrested and start a reality show.
