If I may ask, what kind of person watches movies/TV shows on a smartphone?

I have still to see a movie worse than Ultraviolet. Even William Fichtner couldn't save that movie. And, to boot, Milla can act. Proof:

Meh I can think of a few selective situations where it'd be a nice option, long daily bus/train commute or stuck waiting somewhere like an airport or ER waiting room. But yah by far & large can't see it being something I'd commonly be wanting to do.

That and upload/storage sites. Unless they sell non restricted content/formats(divx/avi etc) for pennies on the dollar and have snazy service/programs, I predict fail.

Proprietary formats / players / service all amount to no less complicated than torrents or things like rapidshare(should you know of a place that lists this content) yet will cost money.

Then again, something doesn't have to be stellar to make a buck any more. Could make modest earnings, but will not wipe out normal downloaders.

Slashies? Sorry, I used them all ^

Can I get the 1080P stream with the Super Dolby (or whatever it is on BluRay) when I stream? How about DTS sound? Are you going to let me watch just the movie without having to sit through 10 minutes of irrelevant advertisements? Is a "lifetime" purchase going to cost less than a physical disc? When your servers inevitably go offline for good do I get to download the movies?

I'm guessing there's a lot of "no" answers to my questions based on past history, and if you're going to make a dent in the market you need to answer "yes" to all of them.

I take 2 15min or so breaks each day at work. I spend them on the crapper watching TV shows/movies on my phone. Currently working through It's Always Sunny In Philadelphia.

So in other words, this kind of person.

Massive studio interference both during and after editing. Both the director and Milla were locked out of the editing room for final production.

Unless I own a hard copy or local file of the title, I (and many people) are not interested. Having all our movies/music/tv in "the cloud" where we can have it streamed to us whenever we like is not an acceptable option. What prevents a studio or company from changing which version of a film you are allowed to watch (be it language or edit), or cutting the service off entirely if they go broke and leaving you with nothing. What if I want to upload DivX rips of titles I already own on DVD?

I can stream my own files from home, thank you very much. And it's becoming easier and easier to do with newer products that make setting it up easy enough for grandmothers to understand.

I do not need the "infinite" storage of "the cloud". No one has 20 TB of films/music/tv shows, and if they do they need help. A 2TB drive in a home server is more than enough to hold all the media content most people have.

Are you forgetting the first 1/3 third of the film or something? That was a pretty Bruce Willis Action Hero-y car chase if I remember correctly.

If you find something wrong with a nude Mila Jovovich you aren't a straight man, and gay men love the boobies more than some straight men. So you're a woman, and you're on the internet; therefore, there are women on the internet.

Who said I find anything wrong with a nude Milla? Fact is, we don't see enough of that.(although I believe she's topless a LOT in the Blue Lagoon sequel, definitely worth checking out, if you can stand the pseudo gay co star)

Also gay man =/= women.

In fact. I'm almost willing to make the argument that there are no gay men on the internet. "I'm not a gay, I just play one on TV" sort of people.
That, and, some people go "gay" to be accepted, because a loser that's never seen a (live)woman's genitals in person is worse off, socially.

/score?
//I still think that's why my best friend from high school was "gay". He just happened to be ugly as sin, and any girl he went after ended up asking me out(he didn't come out for years, fyi). I'm no stud or anything, but I was their escape option.
