Really? Version I read has "Two BART police officers who happened to be in the area spotted a man matching the description of the suspect and tried to stop him." And ending with "Three Oakland and two BART police officers shot the man". So if news had posted that BART officers had no firearms, the corpse may have charged them instead of running from them.
