I enjoy the weekly hate mail. It's a good reminder of how incredibly stupid and hateful many parts of the internet are. The repressed homosexuality also amuses me. More than anything, it's the genuine shock and outrage that many of the emailers seem to have that there are people in this world with very different views from their own. These people clearly lead very sheltered lives. Perhaps there are more subtle versions of Westboro "Church" throughout the country.

Many of the writers directly reference things their pastor told them. I wouldn't be surprised at all if there are pastors out there that use Kos as a demagogue for their own purposes.

Considering that Jesus was/is from the Middle East then they would use it as proof that Obama is in bed with the terrorist and is further out to destroy the "Real American" way of life. Christians are not Christian, if anything they are far from it and the few that are true Christian tend to be a vocal minority if that since that would be the Christian thing to do.

The hate-mails were derpy and cute. I am always amazed by the homo-erotic fixation present in them. I shouldn't be. But I am.

I do have to give Kos a "you hurdy derp" on one thing though. Not everyone who writes in all lower case, with little regard for proper punctuation, and no understanding of the difference between "your" and "you're" is a Tea-partier.

There are also stupid people chalk full of Derp who don't want to affiliate with the Tea Party for any number of reasons. Maybe the Tea-Party isn't Derpy enough. Maybe they don't like tea.
