Awesome headline. Would read again.

Probably to say they made a mistake and didn't charge enough for those rubberbands and want everyone that bought one to send more money.

2010-07-15 11:09:45 AM
Well played, subby. Very well played.

2010-07-15 11:09:46 AM

Though my TF has expired, consider this my +1 in spirit.

2010-07-15 11:09:59 AM
Good. Apple can tell the press once and for all to hold the phone THIS way, not THAT way.

2010-07-15 11:10:12 AM
+1 Subby. This is how a headline should be crafted.

2010-07-15 11:10:28 AM
Very nice subby!

2010-07-15 11:11:01 AM
Nice going, Stevie J....you couldn't get reception in your own arena during its introduction, and you're now telling people how to hold their phone on this "revolutionary" device.

2010-07-15 11:12:30 AM
they are expected to say, "you're doing it wrong!"

2010-07-15 11:13:07 AM
It's so revolutionary it's going to completely change the way we hold phones, dammit!

Out of curiosity, what happens if Apple announces that they're taking full ownership and fixing the problem (one way or another)? Will the hate continue unabated, because it's not really about the actual product? My money's on yes.

/+1 to subby though, that was funny

Bets on which gets fixed first, the iPhone 4 or the BP oil leak?

/See, if you just move your gulf coast a few miles to the north it won't be oil covered any more.

Makes no difference what they say. Haters will still hate, fanboys will still put up with it.

If they actually recall the defective product and issue new free phones to all the people who were given defective phones, then I'll be happy.

I will, however, continue to hate on Steve Jobs. Because he is a colossal douche.

Put up with what, the hate? Or the antenna issue which, in the hypothetical situation being discussed, will no longer exist?

Because those two are exactly the same magnitude of problem.

It would be refreshing if they did.

This thread is tame, I didn't say it was in here. But if you've been in any Apple iPhone related thread on the internet, it's there in spades, droves, and other large quantities.

susansto-helit: If they actually recall the defective product and issue new free phones to all the people who were given defective phones, then I'll be happy.

That is perfectly acceptable. The man is annoying.

Friskya: This was one of the first couple of comments in TFA

FARK stopped being about original humor after the HA!HA! thread.

It is now merely an aggregate of humor from other sites, reported in a timely fashion.

And this headline is the pinnacle of that.

The answer is of course to take all defective iPhones, throw them into Deepwater Horizon, and the massive drop in reception will create a vacuum that will seal the oil leak.

Two birds, one stone.
