On a serious note, he's a good fit for the Padres. Padres fans are unique in the respect that they prefer players who are hard workers and good guys over people who are selfish, but talented.

Rod Beck is a good guy. Very accessible, as you see by the article. I met him twice after Giants games in SF, and one more time after a road game in some restaurant. He will go over well in San Diego, even though he hurt the Padres a lot. He will probably be on Hacksaw and 1090 and win everyone over.
