This actually happened in my neighborhood back in the 70's. Some guy grabbed a little girl and tried to get her into his house. the girl got away and told her dad. All the dads in the neighborhood got together and beat the holy shiat out of the guy and told the family he was living with that they had 2 days to GTFO they were packed and out the next day.

Other than the first line of the article, there is no mention of the perp asking the cops for directions to the local kiddie pageant. My theory is when the cops confronted the guy, he was already worked up and decided to be a provocative jerk, and so asked where the kiddie pageant was. Not actually asking directions. When I was in school, there was a grad student who did her thesis project using the topic of kiddie pageants. She designed packages for a line of makeup and "adult" products (douches, pasties, etc.) with the faces of 6-year-olds in bikinis. First time I'd ever heard of the practice... and I have never been so uncomfortable in a gallery show before or since.

I was helping mount posters for another exhibit when a mother and her very young daughter show up They go through the whole exhibit, look at the packages, read the artist's statement... and then the mother picks up one of the mock-up bottles and goes to "buy" it at the front desk. The little gray-haired docent at the desk was at first confused, then asked the woman where she had found the bottle, and upon understanding it came from the grad gallery, she explained that the products were not for sale; that they were a student project about package design. The woman, still not comprehending, gave the docent her daughter's card and asked to be contacted when the product line "became available to the public".

I got a good look at that card. It featured an upskirt shot of the lady's daughter on a swing in a short sundress, showing off lacy bloomer-type underwear and knee-high laced-up white boots. The kid couldn't have been even eight years old.

I am more convinced than ever that this shiat needs to be illegal. Not because the parents are sexually exploiting their children, but because the parents are too godd*mn stupid to realize that they are sexually exploiting their children.

i know you are just a mouth-breathing troll, but my issue w/ this kind of point of view comes from the fact that that those that most-deserve the beatings they get at the hands of the police are generally the ones that most-deserve to be in jail. They catch a beating from police, and then at best the police-abuse becomes a confounding factor and distraction at the trial and at worse they get reduced charges and/or sentence up to and including no jail-time. It gets even worse when they sue because then the tax payer, who is paying that policeman's salary, is now paying out a lawsuit to the kind of person that deserves a beating.

Police abuse and incompetence is a cancer.
