There was a video posted here where they were dancing to some current music like it was a remix or something. It seems like it was at a party. Does anyone have a link to it?

The gentlmen in this film had been dancing as wee kids together. They had danced and danced and danced for years. And they were not "old" people at the time of the film. They were in their 20's at the time. They would be "old" now!

Do you see what can be accomplished without sitting in front a computer or the television and gaming all the time?

---1 old broad who danced.

Then you missed the best "doing the splits to go down stairs" sequence ever! Ouch.

2010-07-10 05:04:04 PM
That was insane.

0:33 - 0:56 was Olympic balance beam standard skills - grace and precision while busting moves.

Check the kick at 0:44. The sax player looks like he tried to avoid being kicked. But he was too late anyway, and it might have just been part of the act.

Calling any dance number "the best" is a fool's errand, but that was definitely great.

I saw Chuck Berry perform (and duckwalk) in 2008 . . . great stuff!

I'd be amazed if they sired anyone after that.

Bravo, gentlemen, bravo.

You people have obviously never heard of the DICK SLANG which is obviously the best dance of our time.

In full tux and under studio lights. I don't know enough to say, but I'd guess there were takes. It could have been multiple cameras though, it was so smooth. And the audio of the tapping sounded spot on.

2010-07-10 07:49:41 PM
Holy moly.

And before air conditioning.

Even if there were takes, the shots themselves between camera cuts were still ridiculously long by today's ADHD standards.

Yup, I was thinking the same thing. These guys are athletes.

Lemme guess - Nicholas Brothers.

They were thinking of doing a biopic of these guys, but that can't find anyone who can dance like that anymore.

Cubicle Jockey: And before air conditioning.

They had air conditioning when this movie was filmed. Granted you weren't likely to find it on a soundstage, but it was around. It's what made movie theaters such a big deal.
