It must suck to run a website like this in IMDb's shadow.

But I wouldn't know.

I just want to say that any complains about Boom Mics are not movie mistakes, just bad projectionists at the theater, doing a terrible job of correctly framing the image.

The biggest mistakes in Iron Man 2 were not enough War Machine, and not enough Pepper Potts.

hot tub time machine was goddamned hilarious. better, or at least as good as the hangover (which is very overrated - wow, frat boy humor, never seen that before 0_o). having grown up in the 80's, HTTM was just funny as all hell, plus there were gags in that movie that i have NEVER seen before. it is an A+ comedy.

Don't recall it getting smashed either. I know he took quite a hit to it from one of the toddlers, but it was never broken. I'm pretty sure it would have been quite a big deal to see Buzz's helmet crack and shatter.

Only thing I noticed in Kick-Ass was after Hit Girl mowed down those guys in the hallway and then went to execute the last guy, she was surprised when the gun was empty, even though the slide should have locked back. I guess it was necessary for suspense, though, so it didn't bother me.

God I hate lists like that. Nothing is more fun than watching a movie with some pedant who likes to point out that an ashtray moved three inches over a cut. F.U. dork. Aren't you due back at your joyless government nitpicking job? Get the fark out of my house.

Yeah, as opposed to "clever" gross out poop and bodily fluid humor.

I'll agree that The Hangover was completely overrated, but Hot Tub time Machine wasn't anything special. It had it's moments, but could have been better. It went for way too many cheap laughs.

I think it looked broken after the TV fell on him after saving Jessie in the garbage truck. But I think what looked like his helmet shattered was actually the broken glass from the TV.

While Tony is being attacked at Monaco he hits Whiplash with the "suitcase" when it is supposed to be in the car with Pepper and Hogan still: they do not toss the case to him until later on in the scene.

That really ruined the film for me.

I got my money back.

Forgot about that, but yeah, I just assumed it was from the television.

Iron Man 2's biggest mistake was making the final boss battle really short and the fight with war machine during the party at Stark's house too long.

Who took a dump in your Cheerios?

This is a user-submitted site. It's not like this is one guy who sits around looking for every mistake in a movie. It's the movie with the longest list of the year because it's one of the biggest movies of the year, lots of people noticed one or two little things, and a few submitted them. Some people are just naturally prone to noticing little goofs, and on this site they have some fun with it.

Same part of the movie that bother me, but it was when she reloaded for the first time, fired like 3 bullets, and then both guns where empty again.

Some movie mistakes are funny though. My favorite: opening scene of Pulp Fiction where Jules and Vince are riding in the car. A reflection of it being towed by a truck is visible in store windows, as I recall.

Under Birth of a Nation (1915), I'm really tempted to add:

"A scene clearly depicts a freshly washed Klansman's hood hanging on the line. Klan garments are dry clean only. Also, black people are not inferior animals."

I hate the "mistakes" like, "In one closeup, you can see that the highlights on her eyes are SQUARE!!!! THOSE ARE THE LIGHT REFLECTOR BOARDS!!!!!!"

Well yeah, it's a farking movie, not a magical evocation of another dimension.

If it isn't a gaping hole in the plot or someone walking into the scene, Dark Shadows-style, it isn't a mistake as far as I'm concerned.

I was just surprised that, unlike most other shoot-em-up movies, someone actually had to reload fairly often.

Kick-Ass was better.

Even though, Revealing mistakes: None of the motor vehicles seen in close-ups have any expiration stickers.

Oh no.

During the final aerial battle at Hammer's expo, when War Machine's suit is still compromised and he is helping Iron Man evade Whiplash's drones, Iron Man accidentally once refers to War Machine as "Don," as in Don Cheadle, when War Machine's name is James Rhodes.

Are you farking kidding me?

2010-07-07 03:42:05 PM
Biggest flaw in Iron Man: how did an electromagnet that is suppose to keep shrapnel away from his heart turn into a power source that replaces his heart? I can understand if the power source is to replace the big clunky car battery that he was hooked to to power the electromagnet, but the mini arc reactor in his chest basically takes up the entire space that his human heart would take - I'm guessing on the size since Pepper stuck her entire hand into Tony's chest to help him replace the old arc reactor with a new one.

2010-07-07 03:43:11 PM
Surprisingly missing from the list: "None of this sh*t could possibly work in real life."

but isn't that the POINT of a movie? to let go of the doldrums of reality for two hours and be entertained?

I hate those kinds of websites

Wait, is this true? I see this all the time in movies and it drives me insane. You're saying I just go to a really shiatty theater? I'd gladly make the 20 minute trek to the next one in order to stop the madness.

Pure gold reading the Shutter Island list:

"On the boat, Teddy lights up a cigarette and holds it in his mouth. A frame later it appears in between his fingers."

Jesus! I guess I've been doing it wrong this entire time!

2010-07-07 03:57:49 PM
The beauty of Shutter Island is that most of the "continuity" mistakes cited in the link can be explained by the main character's "major malfunction".

/trying not to spoil!

2010-07-07 04:00:09 PM
Did you enjoy the movie Yes/No? That is all that matters. Not the flaws. Not the few inches left or the spinning. Did it entertain you? If it did not then try again.Go see another one and hopefully it will entertain you.

2010-07-07 04:01:42 PM
I'm thinking that the high number of errors caught might be due to the high viewership.

2010-07-07 04:09:52 PM
Continuity mistakes do not bother me unless it is a big f-up that contributes to major plotholes in the movie. Anachronistic mistakes are amusing, and filming equipment and crew caught in the shot are fun to catch, but really who cares.

The best movie mistake in my opinion happened in Backdraft when you can see the landing mat when the characters are blown back by an explosion.
