We are awaiting David Fincher's The Social Network with baited breath here at the Comedy Examiner's Office.

This is the second time this week I've seen someone do this. Unless you've chewed up a wad of nightcrawlers and keep it like a wad of tobacco in your lip, stop doing this. It makes you look like a farking mongoloid.

And by "subby," I assume we mean "the guy who writes the Comedy Examiner thing and submits every single thing he writes to Fark himself."

For all intensive purposes, I am on tender hooks to see when people can write good anymore.

Hey, Trent's got bills to pay just like all of us. It's gotta sting a bit, tho.

But on the the more important question: what the #(*&$^$ is a "Facebook movie"? I'm flat-out afraid to click on the link!

I can't stand Trent, but his score for Natural Born Killers is one of my favorite movies scores from the 1990's. so yes, yes I do like this.

/Looking forward to this movie
//Love Aaron Sorkin's writing
///Lots of walking and talking

Irregardless of that, I'm kinda pissed that Fincher wasted one of the few films he'll make on this subject matter.

Jonny Greenwood would have been a better choice.

schattenteufel: Jonny Greenwood would have been a better choice.

...Because he wrote a creepy, avant-garde score for a movie about gigantic frontier spaces, he'd be ideal for this movie?

/not that I don't agree

Isn't the internet the new wild, untamed frontier? Full of bandits, untamed wilderness, lawlessness, fortune, adventure, and corruption?

No, by the time Facebook started it was all porn and conspiracy theories.

"In what might be the best news Subby's heard all week, Trent Reznor announces that he's going to be scoring David Fincher's Facebook movie, "The Social Network". You like this "

No, I really don't. I was never a big fan of Reznors music. I liked a few songs here and there, but most of it sucked ass IMO, and making a movie out of Facebook was retarded to begin with.

He's made nothing but elevator music since he quit heroin.

FeedTheCollapse: did he score that? I thought he just compiled the soundtrack.

It was more than just a compilation. He selected the songs including some written specifically for the movie and composed the mix using pro tools while on tour.

He overlayed a lot of ambient stuff from the movie and cut some songs shorter/longer etc... He was also the lead influence on the music included in the movie.

Here look (new window)

Almost everything edited.

I personally IMHO think his best composition is technically in Quake. He more or less was the guy responsible for every sound to the music. Some of his best and most influential work IMHO since we see games as the emergent entertainment medium today.

It's an origin story, like Spider-Man. Except instead of super-powers, there are millions of dollars, and instead of the Green Goblin and violent criminals, there are nice people.
