Yes, because when I think of ComicCon... "Book 'em, Dano" always comes to mind.

And the transformation of ComicCon into just an industry trade
show is complete.

At least the show will have Grace Park in a bikini:

Only reason I'm interested in it.

I am pretty sure Daniel Dae Kim is still trying to figure out where the Fark that light came from in the tunnel.

I'm going to watch an episode of this show just to see him speak English. Allegedly, his Korean is god awful.

this is the most important thing I've learned today.

Two things:

1) Whatever you do, don't look up "Big Chicken" on Youtube. You'll see a shower scene you don't want to see.

2) New theme song stinks. Not enough brass. But I love that instead of the helicopter'd fast-zoom shot, they use satellite footage. That's cool.

and bonus thing: I never realized how short Scott Caan is.

After this new H5O is cancelled will there be a new version of Magnum PI in the same time slot?

I'd boomer.

Ain't nobody in that picture cool enough to be Jack Lord's replacement. That role (McGarret) requires someone like Brad Pitt or George Clooney.

i'd zoom'er boomer. (^)

t'ain't a reason.

Oh yeah. And I'd give the show 6 aired episodes before it's pulled from the schedule.

I'm just happy to be in the same state as Grace Park.

Hawaii 5 O reruns used to be on every weekday a couple of years ago. The only disappointments were Season 1 and 11-12. Seasons 2-10 are pretty solid.

This new series has alot to live up too. I think they are at Seasons 7 or 8 on DVD releases on the original series. The older series is similar in model to the CSIs and NCISes of today. Anything less will have major problems. I do plan to check out the series this fall.

fark you subby- Jack Lord is a golden god! I put a lei on his bust at Kahala Mall before I left. As for this reboot... I'm not hopeful but we'll see. I'll watch just to spot the locations.

This is stupid and the show won't last more than a year, if even that.

Im looking forward to this
If only to look at places I went on holidays
Im not a very bright TV viewer :-)

And, after seeing the debut of the new Hawaii 5-0 cast at comicon, the general reaction of the audience will be "...Bored, they hung themselves."

Nobody on earth has the same jut of jaw, glint of eye and slick of hair. And could run down criminals in Hawaii in a dark blue suit without breaking a sweat.

The Ford Mercury was awesome.

Good call there. The original theme is an alltime great, the updated one is much shorter and isn't as good. But then, I swear 70s cop shows had the best tv themes.

I think I read somewhere that, as cool as Jack Lord was, he was terribly insecure about his height and really worried about the casting of taller guests and such. And I don't think he was a real short dude or anything.

"Hawaii Five-O" was already re-booted, subby.

The show is called "CSI:Miami" and David Caruso is the modern-day Jack Lord.

One of my local MyTV stations is running the old H50 episodes, just watched a tense and densely-plotted 2-parter where McGarrett was tangling with Chinese Spymaster Wo Fat.... awesome. Took me back to my childhood, and just seeing the old locations and art direction is a hoot by itself. And those fords that were shoehorned into almost every scene, talk about your product placement!

Also, incredible numbers of the guest actors on individual episodes went on to become huge stars later. Saw Linda Purl in an episode where she couldn't have been more than 17.... rowwrr...

When is the new one on now?

I can see the fat, stupid, Hollywood types saying," lets bring down the ages, steve was 45, lets make him 17 now." Another reboot that fails on so many levels its just sad.
