Holy fark. That was great. Ohhhh-----~~*
*shiat that farking hurt, if I could say more than the orgazism swiming through my newly awakened loins then, god yes, shoot me again! AGGGGAAAIN! more VOLTS! YES YES YES!!22

"You just lose all muscle control," she said.

Sounds like this taser thing is sort of a commercial version of my charming effect on the ladies.
2003-06-02 03:24:21 AM
lol, funny shiat

Are you ready?

2003-06-02 03:24:23 AM
Who the fark cares?
2003-06-02 03:31:55 AM
That rates a 78 on the unintentional comedy scale.

50,000 volts ? Come on now

A friend got me with a stun gun that was supposedly 400,000 volts (by my request). I let him get me in the ass cheeks, and both arms. It was only for ~1-2 seconds of contact, but still, it was nowhere near what I expected. I would not put my safety into one of those unless you get 750K + volts.

Unless you get them in the chest or the spine, some weak ass gun is not going to stop somebody who is determined to do whatever.

Volts aren't the whole story here. You've probably been hit by 25,000 volts plenty of times by walking across carpet on a dry day and touch a door knob. Just like the old saying, "it's not the heat, it's the humidity", it's not the voltage, it's the amperage. Without enough current to back it up, your 750kv stun gun would be just as useless.

I suspect the police models put out a bit more juice that the ones sold to nervous housewives, and by design they maintain the shock for 5 seconds, which is critical.

That's like that meat thermometer fot microwave cooking.

It should have settings for desired "doneness"
2003-06-02 06:27:40 AM
Shemp's right.

Your car's only 12 volts right ? Next time your under the hood pull a plug wire and stick it to your tounge.....

no ? why not ? It's only 12volts ?!?

It''s the amprage that gets ya.
2003-06-02 06:30:15 AM
That was great! Let's think about this one... Minneapolis Police and a Twin Cities reporter. All of the cops in the Cities will be laughing about this one for weeks! Do you think he was decent enough to have her go the the restroom to square herself away before he did this or do ya think she farked her pants?

This was great!
2003-06-02 06:33:14 AM
so using ohms law....

P = Power (watts or volt-amps)
I = Intensity (current in amps)
E = Electromotive Force (Voltage)

I = P / E

446.43amps = 12w/50,000v ..... holy shiat!
2003-06-02 06:35:05 AM
wait... unless I did that assbackwards... 4167amps.... damn.
2003-06-02 06:47:00 AM
IS it just me or does this guy look like Tom Arnold...
2003-06-02 06:52:00 AM
What the fruck is a tounge?
2003-06-02 07:46:31 AM
One of the reporters at a station I used to work at did this several years ago.

He was a buddy of mine, and he volunteered to do it... Now, I'm not one to let a friend go through something like that alone... so I volunteered to shoot him.
2003-06-02 08:01:31 AM
wow, she has my respect.
2003-06-02 08:18:27 AM
Not to be outdone, the competing news station sent it's reporter out to do a story on why the bullets killed the suspect. :)

Oh, and McBotulism, right on. :P
2003-06-02 08:24:19 AM
Bummer, I can't get the video to play.
2003-06-02 08:39:42 AM
Is it me or did that cop touch her ass while she was down?
2003-06-02 09:11:42 AM
Vegasj - dude ... 0.5 mA.

26[W] ~= 50000[v] x 0.00052[A]

50 mA across the heart is considered potentially lethal, i.e., it's apt to stop your heart.
This thing is just gonna hurt, but shouldn't kill you. Hardly ever. In most cases.

Apropos - anyone know why electric chairs use such wimpy power levels? I'd be easy enough to carbonise a human in half a second, but here they are keeping these guys (and odd girl) wriggling for 20-30 seconds. Seems cruel & unusual to me.
2003-06-02 09:19:02 AM
Can anyone tell me why the video is grey>? ive had this problem before but now i have just formatted and its still doing it!

i get the audio fine but nothing but a flat grey screen.
2003-06-02 09:26:38 AM
Boobiesontheside - you need to do more than just format. You need to re-install, too.

/glad to help

Well, I did a bit more digging, and found some basic info on "stun guns", of which there are apparently several different types.

There are three types of stun guns devices:

1) Static charge: Which range in volts anywhere between 80,000 - 625,000 volts and use 9-20 electrical watts. An 80,000 - 100,000 stun gun unit use one 9 volt battery and a 200,000 - 500,000 stun gun or baton uses two to three 9 volt batteries.

2) Phase Induction delivery: Ranges in volts of 100,000 - 625,000 and use 7-15 watts as in models such as Muscle Man brand and Talon brand. Phase induction technology uses a more effective and efficent delivery of the shock allowing for faster knock down times. A stun gun thats rated at 200,000 volts using phase induction delivery is equivalent to a 300,000 unit due the better delivery of the shock.

3) EMD- Electro-muscular Disruption: Uses a more powerful 18 - 26 watt electrical system to completely overide the central nervous system and directly control the muscles. Units such as Air Taser use compressed nitrogen to shoot out 2 darts attached to 15 feet of wire. The darts shoot out at a speed of 135 feet per second and when the probes make contact with skin or clothing, powerful T-waves are sent through the wires and the result is immense pain and uncontrollable contractions of the muscle tissue regardless of mental focus ability or pain tollarance. The body of the assailants central nervous system becomes jamed causing incapacitation for several minutes. What also makes air tasers very effective is the fact that they rely on an automatic timing mechanism to deliver electrical current at set interval cycles. This keeps the assailants central nervous system from a quick recovery and therefore preventing removal of the probes and a chance for escape. The maximum effective range for firing the probes is 7 to 10 feet away from the target.

The effect of electrical shock on the human body seems to be tied to three factors: voltage, current, and duration - of which, voltage is of fairly low importance. Consider a household outlet - it's only 110 volts (or 220, depending on your country) but sticking a fork into an outlet will give you a jolt that'll knock you on your ass - yet, if short enough, will just sting. If you held it for 5 seconds, you'd likely be pretty dazed for while. And, it's not unusual for people to get a lethal dose of juice from a household outlet.

Likewise, a a typical lightning bolt bridges a potential difference (voltage) of several hundred million volts and may transfer 1020 electrons in a fraction of a second, developing a peak current of up to 10 kiloamperes. All of which takes place in about 0.2 seconds. Given those first two numbers, it's not a walk in the park to get struck by lightning, but it is survivable.

She might be old... but I'd still hit it.

What the hell's wrong with her? She can't even take a shot in the boobies? No dedication.

"How does it feel right now?" he asked.
"Sort of tingly. Wow," she said, as she remained face down on the mat.
"How did it feel initially? Do you think you could've done anything?"
"Uh--nooo!" she said.

Okay, it's offical, the internet has turned me into a pervert.
2003-06-02 11:02:30 AM
A reporter here in Phoenix did the same stunt over a year ago. And it seems that only female reporters are the ones being tasered...
2003-06-02 11:13:51 AM
Good thing the photojournalist got it on the first take.

Are we that PC these days that we can't just call them cameramen?

Vegasj, I have to point out that the voltage coming out of your sparkplug is not 12v. It would never arc across the gap. It goes through a solenoid first and the voltage coming out is anywhere between 20,000 and 40,000 volts, depending on the car.
2003-06-02 11:48:23 AM
I think this reporter used to work for fox here in Vegas.
I am not sure if this is a better job or a worse one!
2003-06-02 11:58:45 AM
I'd shoot it.

Years ago in Erie, PA there was a news story about local cops testing out the electrified ankle collars that are sometimes used on people under house arrest. They had the cops all lined up wearing the ankle collars, and they had to step past a line marked on the floor, and they would get the shock. The first cop looked kind of cocky, stepped forward and immediately convulsed and gurgled like a lobotomy patient. He was writhing on the ground for almost 10 seconds before they shut it off. You could see the face of the next cop in line as they told him to walk looked like he was scared shiatless. It was fun, watching cop after cop writing on the ground and drooling uncontrollably.

i'd do it
