The movement of being put down in the van, though, woke Mando up.

He got "put down" in the van, but woke back up?! Oh, no! It's the Night of the Living Dead Warthogs!

"I don't get the John Travolta image.

/lost"

Long ago, when no cable channel existed and the internet was beginning to germinate in Al gore's brain, there was only network tv. In that universe was a show called 'Welcome Back Kotter', Who was a schoolteacher. John Travolta played one of the teacher's students: the group of kids John hung out with were called 'The Sweathogs' Should you ask anymore questions, well too bad; up your nose with a rubber hose.

I now take this opportunity to post a pic of Mrs. Kotter. Rrrraowww !

where did he go that he needed to be welcomed back.... i watched that show a lot when it was on nick at nighte and i dont think they ever explained that.

I want that pic of Mrs. Kotter, please.

Threadjack to Kotter...

Tyguy:

Kotter was once sweathog himself, at the same school where he taught.

So the welcome back refers to his returning to where he spent his youth, only this time on the other side.

Does that clear up the confusion?

On topic: Warthogs!

2003-05-29 11:09:52 PM
Tyguy101aa, he was a student, now a teacher

Mr Kotter was an old sweathog who left the neighborhood, went to college, did well, etc, and came back to help teach and reach the current group of sweathogs.

I know what Welcome Back Kotter was. In any case, Sweathogs != warthogs. That's a bit of a stretch.
