Yes they can.

FTFA: At this point, there are no drugs or treatments on the market designed to help women overcome a chronic lack of sexual desire.

Possibly not drugs or treatments, but money and/or cocaine do seem to work pretty damn well in most situations.

Do you know what happens to a biological organism for zero tolerance?

Ever see anyone with Lactose intolerance or a peanut allergy?

At the very least, it puts continual stress on the bring, and reduced its overall functionality. At worst, it can lead to paralysis and death.

Yes, Kids need to be able to integrate guns and weapons and all kinds of tools into their lives. They need to know the proper and correct role of power and violence from a mature adult point of view. Cops, NRA trainers, and scout leaders all make excellent candidates.

This.

Viagra doesn't make men horny. It makes them hard.

The equivalent thing in a woman would be something that makes her moist.

Actually, a female equivalent to Viagra would be something that would engorge the clitoris and vagina making them more sensitive to stimulation.

They would need to differentiate between women who lack a sex drive due to psychological reasons, hormonal reasons, and physiological reasons. Each one would require a different treatment. It would be like the difference between a guy who doesn't want sex because he's deeply depressed, a guy who doesn't want it because he has low testosterone, or a guy who wants it but just can't get it up.

I think it is farked up that they want to treat lack of desire.

If you want to have sex but are unable, that is a problem. If you don't want to have sex, that is a victory.

I cannot begin to imagine how much money and freedom I would have if I lacked a desire for sex.

In spite of the fractured English, I really think you're making my point.

Actually, it's not fractured English, I just forgot to type "one" after the "every" in the first sentence. I've got too much multi-tasking going on.

I'm not sure where you are going with this money and freedom thing. Are you one of those guys who go on about how they have to shell out cash and time and presents on a woman so she'll have sex with them? Or one of those people who think a relationship or marriage is like a leech on your existence because you end up with shared finances and/or you have to think about someone else's opinions/needs/wants instead of just yourself?

It makes more sense with the "one" included. That should have been obvious - I'll blame my lack of seeing it on a long night. Sorry.

And no, we're not communicating well here.

Money wise: I'm just saying that across my 25ish years of sexual activity, I wouldn't have bothered to spend money on certain clothes, cars, jewelry, etc if I weren't motivated by sex.

Freedom wise: I just think it might be liberating to not care about sex. I would pretty much shelve anything I was in the middle of if my wife came trolling through the room looking for some lovins. If sex were not a player, I think I would be able to better focus on the other portions of life.

Maybe I said it better. Sorry for sounding like an ass with the "factured" comment.

And THIS is what's wrong with women. They can't divorce pleasure from some complex interpersonal relationship.

I somehow doubt any woman who is happy without sex between relationships will have a sufficent sex drive to keep a man happy DURING a relationship.

Alright then.

I can kinda see how some people would find life easier without sex. Some people probably think the same thing about eating; they'd find it easier if they could just photosynthesize and not worry about being hungry, spending money on food, wasting time preparing food, and wasting time eating it. Meanwhile, other people could never give up the sheer pleasure and satisfaction from it. Personally, I don't think there's much point in being a sentient organic being if you can't enjoy the hell out of a cheese and pickle sandwich.

Cool story bro time.

I met this guy first semester of freshman year. Not a friend but someone who I would hang out with in large groups from time to time. He had this smoking hot girlfriend who could not get enough sex with him, and I couldn't figure out why.

Turns out whenever they had sex he'd sprinkle a little cocaine on top of his condom, so she would get high as hell, and basically became addicted to his penis. He told her when he broke up with her. That was awkward. Suffice to say, I don't hang out with this guy anymore.

tl;dr Yes there are drugs that will make women want you.

Awkward, months ago I was seemingly the only one on Fark who thought this drug was useless and was called a variety of names and pretty much asked why I hate women enjoying sex. Glad the FDA now agrees with me.

and you'd be wrong. it's just impossible for a man to admit that women might not need sex if they don't care for the guy, because it gives women the upper hand, doesn't it? Because as far as I can see, men are always out there looking for it. And maybe we aren't looking back.

It's difficult for me to imagine just having a sex drive while in a relationship. Maybe for some people it's more psychological, they start thinking "Oh, he's so dreamy! Wait now, I think I'm getting excited in my pants," rather than "Yawn, just waking up, damn I'm horny, I need an orgasm." The urge in the latter case is independent of a relationship or other people being involved.
