His final request was to be buried with a picture of his wife, and extra soy sauce.

At Pig Heaven, Keh hired a man who had been the personal dumpling maker for Madame Chiang Kai-shek.

Christ I could use a job like that. What does it pay?

13ItemsInA12ItemOrLessLane:

I'll pay you to handle my dumplings...what are your qualifications?

2003-05-28 03:22:52 PM
MSG is classified as toxic as table salt. Headline sumbitter = lame.

2003-05-28 03:22:58 PM
That MSG stuff is nasty. I used to be able to handle it, but after a year of avoiding it 100%, now it makes me incredibly sick if I eat it. It gives me bad headaches and dizzy spells. The same reaction I get from aspartame. Nasty shiat.

1/2 cup soy sauce
1/4 cup white vinegar
1/4 cup cooking wine
1+1/2 cup hot chicken broth
1 tsp monosodium glutamate (optional)

I was just about to figure out what I am going to have for lunch today. I think it'll be General Tso's chicken and a spring roll. o.O

2003-05-28 03:24:41 PM
now this was a funny play:

No MSG!

2003-05-28 03:26:48 PM
Screw you, Bigredlemon. MSG is also known as malodextrin. Some people have bad reactions to it, including me. I have to avoid it, which is difficult since it's added to so many things. The reason it's added to food is because it fools with the signals in your brain to make you think the food tastes better. Some people's brains react quite severely to the chemicals.

Try this link for some enlightening reading:

me so hungry.

2003-05-28 03:29:56 PM
Some interesting facts from the above link:

Monosodium glutamate is an excitatory neurotransmitter that destroys nerve cells in the brain of susceptible people.

30 to 40% or more of our population is experiencing the harmful effects of what the medical society has recently called the "MSG Symptom Complex" and many of us don't know it.

The amount of MSG added to our processed foods has doubled every 10 years.
