And I think after they get married, J-Lo should keep her maiden name, and go by J-Lo-Af.  Or just J-Loaf.

2003-05-28 03:10:52 PM

He's so HOT right now!

2003-05-28 03:11:22 PM
"There are people on the intertnet calling me GAY ! What is this internet shait, Jay ?"
"Well Ben, the Internet is a communication tool used the world over where people can come together to biatch about movies and share pornography with one another."

2003-05-28 03:11:24 PM
He's a cutie, but not model material I think. There's a plethora of beautiful men out there who would've been more suitable.

Jlowejd And yet, can you name one movie that you have wanted to see because he was in it, and not despite his being in it?

2003-05-28 03:14:02 PM
The South Park with J-Lo and Affleck was the most disturbingly hilarious 30 minutes on cable TV in a long time.

2003-05-28 03:14:30 PM
Ben Affleck has the charisma of a Cheez Doodle, but none of the delicious, finger-licking orange dust to go along with it.

2003-05-28 03:14:52 PM
This makes about as much sense as Michael Douglas: Hand Model..

2003-05-28 03:16:43 PM
Does anybody care about this ass? He and his girl are setting themselves up for embarrassment when their blissful fairy-tale relationship melts down and blows up in a spectacular, retina-searing mushroom cloud. His spokesmanship for L'O'r'e'a'l' is all he's going to have left when that happens. Notice I say "when", not "if".

MataHari, what does that symbol mean? I've seen it on car bumpers and whatnot.

2003-05-28 03:17:15 PM
MataHari

what is that symbol? I REALLY need to know.

2003-05-28 03:20:21 PM
Hopefully Ben's exposure will go the way of Michael Schumacher and footballer David Ginola... (Who in the Hell are Michael Schumacher and footballer David Ginola?)

2003-05-28 03:21:02 PM
This is the flag and logo of the Human Rights Campaign. The blue background represents justice and freedom and the two yellow bars signifiy equality.

2003-05-28 03:22:05 PM
Ben wears a toupee?? OMG!

2003-05-28 03:22:36 PM
I'm not gay, but I'm not afraid to say what men I think are good looking (though maybe that does make me gay?). I definitely don't think Ben Affleck is the least bit good looking.

To each their own I guess.

2003-05-28 03:23:08 PM
what does that symbol mean?
Umm, did you fail 3rd grade math and never look back?

2003-05-28 03:23:11 PM
Albo, he's got the orange dust, it's just that it's designer Coke instead of cheezy goodness.

2003-05-28 03:23:20 PM
Ben Affleck peaked with his memorable character O'Bannion in "Dazed and Confused".

Course that was like, what, 9 years ago? Since then it's been doooooownhill. He should kill himself. Now.

2003-05-28 03:25:29 PM
seriously though,

has it been confirmed anywhere REPUTABLE that he wears a toupee?

2003-05-28 03:27:07 PM
Just great. What's next, masculine hygiene products? I'm having trouble visualizing a male douche.

2003-05-28 03:28:07 PM
i'm only going to bother commenting on this thread with:

why do so many of you care? maybe you should try ungluing your face from the TV and reading a book. i can almost guarantee you won't find J-lo, Affleck, MTV or McDonalds in most good books.

2003-05-28 03:28:18 PM
I'm with you Semi-sane

My avowed heterosexuality notwithstanding ( I can admit men can be hadsome but dicks are just plain disgusting) can somebody PLEASE explain to me why this guy is considered a sex symbol?

All I can figure is that women think he's attainable because he so damn PLAIN looking. Wow! A 5 foot 10 guy with a medium build, straight brown hair and no distinguishing facial characteristics! He's one in a million!

2003-05-28 03:28:46 PM
It wasn't until I read the article that I realized the title wasn't

Ben Affleck - Super MORON

but since my title fits better, in my head it will remain that way

2003-05-28 03:28:49 PM
"Ben embodies a new generation of men who show their strength in their personality but are not afraid to care for their appearance."

They're called "queens", honey. And the only thing new about them is that you're starting to see more and more that are straight.

As for Ben Affleck, it infuriates me that, most likely, I will never get to watch him masturbate.

2003-05-28 03:28:56 PM
Ben Affleck,
Male Prostitute

2003-05-28 03:30:40 PM
"who could play the shark in Jaws 5? Affleck."
~director kevin smith who is more than acquiainted with mr. 'Flecks acting range

Well thank you, DirkValentine,

Glad to see that your busy schedule of ridding Tibetan monk orphanages of landmines has allowed you a brief respite to pop on over and judge us.

Spare me. If we can't badmouth celebrities with reckless abandon on the internet, where can we go?

Return to your higher plain now. I love people who pop into inane threads like this one and then cluck their tongues at people for popping into inane threads like this one.

2003-05-28 03:33:55 PM
Ben Affleck, feh. I prefer:

Josh Lucas. Mmmmmmmmm.

2003-05-28 03:34:58 PM
Ben is such a prop.

Anyone else offended that he played Jack Ryan?

2003-05-28 03:37:53 PM
ben gay

2003-05-28 03:44:37 PM
Peetah

huh? b/c i like to read books and keep my brain off the TV that makes me a freedom fighter for Tibetan orphanages?

that's quite presumptious of you. i was merely stating that the only way you could hold such a strong opinion about someone who you obviously dislike and has virtually no impact on your life is if you choose to subject yourself to that which drives their pop status.

no higher plain here. just taking a break and reading some threads.

2003-05-28 03:48:20 PM
EWWW, he is just repulsive! I've been boycotting L'Oreal products for the last 12 years because of their animal testing, but now if I see Ben Gay's picture on a hair dye box I'm going to take it one step further...DESTROY!!! DESTROY!!!

2003-05-28 03:48:36 PM
Even better..

Dr. Jack Ryan.

2003-05-28 03:51:17 PM

Aff-leck

2003-05-28 03:52:46 PM
Look Dirk, you obviously came in here trolling to harangue people who love/hate/care about Ben Affleck, which smacks a bit on the easy side. Kinda like shooting fish in a barrel. And I've just had one too many people come in here and come right out with "Oh all mass media sucks so I dont' poison my mind with it. I'm a big fan of Schopenhauer instead." I don't like people fishing for praise (two fishing metaphors in one paragraph?)

Good for you for reading. I say do more. Personally I like Dostoevsky, Dickens, but I mix it up wioth a little nick Hornby just to stay sane

I'm just saying don't come here to berate people who happen to be in a ben affleck related thread. Because many of them just might be here for various and sundry reasons, much like yourself, apparently

for the record, I've seen two movies he was in : good will hunting and dogma. So I don't need to "subject myself to that which drives [his] pop status" to dislike him. I can do it in a mere 5 seconds of screen time with his large, bulbous head.

I'm just here hoping to read a few humorous zingers, beyond the "i hate ben gay" or "ben-ho" variety etc.

I have already spent far too much time on this as it is

carry on

2003-05-28 03:54:31 PM
Dirk and Peetah,
sittin in a tree,
k-i-s-s-i-n-g!
First comes love, then comes marriage,
Then comes Peetah with a baby carriage!!!!!

2003-05-28 03:56:00 PM
That symbol:
It means something like your for gay rights. I usually see it on cars here in San Antonio. I thought it was a nationwide thing...guess not.

2003-05-28 03:57:02 PM
TO THOSE WHO DON'T THINK HE IS CUTE:
A study done a few years back at the College of William and Mary found that the most idolized sex gods and godesses are the ones whose facial features are the most average.

Yes, Ben looks like the guy next door, but you have to take into account the things that we sense about a personthey way he or she carries himself, personality, confidence.

Personally, I think both Affleck brothers are hot. I am a male who has already bought into the male skin care/hair product marketing, and I will likely follow Affleck wherever he tells me to bring my money and face. : )

He is a good actor (Bounce, for example); although, I do question his choice in getting involved with J. Lo. (to see what J. Lo. is really like reference South Park episode 705).

/my 82 cents

2003-05-28 03:57:13 PM
A man caring about his appearance doesn't equal gay. All it means is that he'll be more likely to get laid (this also applies to females).

I'm getting bored with the ugly = masculine idea continuously pushed by, well, ugly guys. So what if you're all macho when some guy in mascara is scoring more anyway.

2003-05-28 04:00:14 PM
05-28-03 03:57:13 PM Cola

...when some guy in mascara is scoring more anyway.

Huh?

2003-05-28 04:00:56 PM
With other guys, maybe.

2003-05-28 04:01:25 PM
ugly guys dictate the standards of what's beauty in a guy?
How do you figure?

Last time I checked, we men were nominally in charge of teh wporld, but the sooner you women wake up and realize that you hold all the cards the better you'll all be for it.

So I don't think any man has ever had any effect on what is considered male beauty. No more than any man has ever actualy been in control of any decision ever, if you get my drift.

Whichever asshat men are considered sexy, I guarandamntee you that it's because some women, out there, somewhere, like him like that for tier own reasons. We just roll with the punches, and sell you shirts, sunglasses and cologne based on what you decide you want, I think

of course I coudl be wrong. i ususally am.

2003-05-28 04:02:58 PM
thanks Hytes,

that made my day. really.

i think Peetah must like me.

2003-05-28 04:04:57 PM
J-Lo'real?

Coincidence? I think not.

Got nothin? I think so...

"A L'Oreal spokesperson told Hello! magazine: "Ben embodies a new generation of actors who suck beyond all comprehension, but still get credit."

2003-05-28 04:07:47 PM
lol Kab

2003-05-28 04:09:16 PM
Just be sure you are the one to name the baby, Dirk. You don't want a child named Ben, Madonna or Leonardo.

2003-05-28 04:20:17 PM
14 minutes and counting....

2003-05-28 04:24:37 PM
Benjo can model the male butt-douche, the Bouche, or perhaps be a spokeman, err spokesperson, for my new product line of a rectal tampon, the Rampon.
