The bull should be awarded cliche status just because...

The perpetrator.

Ironically, U.K. officials did not blame this on mad cow disease.

Isn't it a bull in a china shop?

"A decision was made that the bull should be destroyed."

Shooting it doesn't destroyed it. It killed it. Throwing a grenade at it would have destroyed it. Along with the antique shop but that's not the point! :o)

Exactly.

I never read the article. How did the bull get into the antique shop? Was someone trying to sell it? Is it old?

2003-05-26 11:46:55 PM
Haha, stupid bull can't even read.

It knocked over a woman who was taken to hospital with a bruised shoulder, though she was later discharged after treatment.

Is there anything Tylenol can't do?

He said many members of the public had taken items to the showroom and many of these had been destroyed by the animal.

That's horribull.

I'll be here all week, tip your waitress, not cows.

Speaking of bull in china shop

Winston Churchill, referring to the humorless and argumentative John Foster Dulles (Eisenhowers Secretary of State): Dulles was the only bull I knew that carried his own china shop with him.

He said many members of the public had taken items to the showroom and many of these had been destroyed by the animal.

Okay, how about some clarification here...did they put these items in the showroom before the whole bull thing started, or were they putting stuff in while the bull was already in the showroom? (a la throwing wood on a fire).

I agree with Rumble, either a damn good pill or a nice dose of moraphine. :P

Sounds like another fake article on a slow news day.

Considering it has been mentioned on almost every news bulleting today as a closing funny, I think not.

Wouldn't be the first time news agencies cannibalized fake stories from each so as not to be scooped. And you know, this is big, big news. A scoop could ruin CNN on this one.

Can't believe they shot the bull. Needs an "asinine" tag methinks.

Zerk_Fitting: here's a word uglier than yours: Scat. Don't know what it is? Do a google search, and I'm sorry beforehand.

Although I love a tasty Kahuna burger like most folk, any animal that is smart enough to try and escape a slaughterhouse death should be given a reprieve. They couldn't have tranq'd it and hauled it to Macca's farm? Sheesh.
