Of course, they did. According to his application, he's a Harvard graduate.

not necessarily the way to go about things, but i guarantee the CIA might have a good job waiting for him when hes done.

2010-06-09 05:11:12 PM
This would have been funnier if he had gotten accepted into Yale.

I have been going about the entire college application process completely wrong.

Anyone smart enough to bilk the admin staff at a university as prestigious as Harvard with as flagrant a pack of lies as was mentioned in the preceding article is probably qualified to attend Stanford.

Future politician, no doubt.

I didn't get accepted to Stanford, so I'm really getting a kick out of these responses.

I think the headline is misleading. I think subby should be tried for exaggerating the facts.

2010-06-09 05:21:23 PM
But how much of the Stanford application was faked?

And since he did actually attend Harvard, forgetting how he got in for a moment, can he count that as actually attending the university or is that fruit of the poisonous tree?

2010-06-09 05:24:01 PM
Needless to say he won't actually be going to Stanford...

You thought you were gonna send him back to Delaware with his tail tucked between his legs. Not a Harvard man. You're a bunch of Harvard bums.

He DID apply... :)

Allow me to sum it up like this...

what's even funnier is that his parents ratted him out (I think to Yale).

Dear Yale:

Our son has applied to your school. Please be aware that he is a cheat and a liar.

Good day.

So... What's the big deal? Not sure what law covers this, and if it's actually a criminal or administrative matter. I'm sure someone will say. Overall I'm with charkocu on this. Who the fark Cares. Other than Harvard I guess.

Wait...wut?!

You can get arrested and thrown in jail for falsifying your application to college?

What. The. Fark?!

Someone needs to liven this thread up. I feel like I'm sitting through a Ben Stein lecture.

He didn't get charged with any crimes because he falsified his application but rather because he attained financial aid, grants scholarships etc through falsified credentials. Hence the larceny charge.

The first embedded link leads to another article which states that, "Adam Wheeler, 23, was indicted by a grand jury on 20 offenses, including pretending to hold a degree, identity fraud, larceny and falsifying documents from Harvard University, Massachusetts Institute of Technology, Phillips Academy and other prestigious schools."

Yes, larceny, but a lot of other charges that add up to "falsified his application to college".

Wow...I wonder what Stanford will do?

Stanford has a proud heritage of grooming liars. Just look at both Bush administrations...filled with Stanford liars.

I was hoping for information on his major.

Do they have a major in LYING CHEAT, or is PoliSci all that is needed?

Y'know, if his transcripts from Harvard actually are the correct ones, Stanford is going to be chuckling and saying "Sure, we'll just keep an eye on him."
