Di Atribe: He has never missed a practice, meeting, or OTA. Ever. That includes for the purposes of playing golf. Peyton Manning & Tom Brady have both missed more practices than Tony Romo. Are you suggesting that football players never do anything besides football? Ever?

i didn't think romo's mom had a fark account

NFL QB's as a group are not the classiest individuals but Romo seems like a nice enough dude from what I've read. He's certainly not near the top of the list for NFL qb douchebags.

I imagine they would not have anything about which to comment, given that they have never won a Super Bowl in either Candlestick Park or Kezar Stadium, but instead won in the Silverdome, Stanford Stadium, the Superdome and twice in Joe Robbie (Dolphins) Stadium.

Giving up on the whole "win a playoff game" comment already?

For shame.

rickythepenguin: i wouldn't be surprised to see TEbow play on the end. not as a blocker but as a receiver / wildcat type.

and if the Donkos line him up at TE, I claim copyright on the nickname "Tight End-Bow" SEE BECAUSE TIGHT END IS ABBREVIATED 'TE' AND 'T' AND 'E' ARE THE FIRST TWO LETTER IN HIS NAME SO 'TIGHT END BOW' IS A FANCY WAY OF SAYING TEBOW BUT BY NOTING WHAT POSITION HE PLAYS LOL ROTLFMALO

Di Atribe: Treygreen13: Most of the stories I hear about him are good. Except for the one from earlier, which is brand new to me.

You mean the one from a friend of a random internet person? Oh yeah, well if it happened to his friend, it must be true!

Why is it so hard to believe that a QB who has been treated like a God his whole life may be arrogant and pushy? I even recall an incident at a party where I saw Saint Breesus act like a dick, and my sister has a killer Jim Harbaugh story from 15 years ago.

Then again, the few times I partied with Mike Alstott was super cool. He was known as the nicest guy at Purdue.

Overdose: Someone sounds Bit.ter.

I'm a transplanted Pirates fan so I have my own problems and could give a shiat what he does, but living in Seattle I just find it to be an interesting phenomenon how worshipped he is here when he domonstrated on multiple occasions that he can't stand the place. It's like there's this collective amnesia. They remember his 18 year old ear to ear grin. They don't remember the bi-weekly blackball of the press, or forcing his way out of town, or crying that the RF fence was too long, or the sports radio feud, or his ESPN boycott for not showing enough of his highlights. He was a prima donna the entire time, but he was their prima donna I suppose. Not unlike Bonds in SF.

The Muthaship: He is all of what you said and more. I could tell you some good ones from when he was in Cincy that aren't public knowledge.

I have no doubt

It could very well be true. People say I'm the nicest guy, but if I got blitzed I could probably do some douchey things. I mean, I might not try to rape-rape a girl in the bathroom of a clup, but asking the DJ if I could give it a spin might happen.

No one has a good grip on the NFL rankings 8 weeks into the season, so rankings 3 months before the season starts are going to be silly.

That aside, the heck does this sentence mean? "Jets -- Something about all their high-profile moves seems like there's a trap door ready to sink the ship"?

Is he trying to say that there is a trap door installed on a ship that when triggered would sink it? Or is he saying the ship is sailing along and ends up on top of the trap door, which for some reason is in the water, that gets triggered and sinks the ship?

Ummm, you do realize that Tony went to a small school and was an undrafted free agent when picked up by the 'Boys who spent 3.5 seasons as a back-up to guys like Vinny and Drew Bledslow, right?

Tony is probably often treated like a demi-god NOW, but it certainly has not always been that way.

No shiat - I think half the top 10 teams of week 8 last year missed the playoffs. That said I am happy to see the steelers down near 20. I'd rather be surprised on the upside. And just so there's no misunderstandings later on, I will be rooting hard for my team no matter what our douchebag qb does. Thus far I am 1% optimistic as he at least seems to be smart enough to be laying extremely low the last couple of months. I'm sure there's 1000 people watching him and will report on it if he so much as double parks.

The Muthaship: Bengals? Number 6?

Which brings me to my next point....don't smoke crack.

You mean the team with the num. 4 overall Defense that is returning almost all its starters, a offensive line thats actually played a season now and more offensive weapons? the ones that beat every team in the AFC North twice last season? Sure, why not?

I've actually partied at Eastern Ill. It's not that small. At 10,000 undergrads, it's 3 times bigger than Wake Forest.

Not exactly Division I ball, but not a nobody either.

Lets see, the Saints won the Super Bowl and didn't lose anyone substantial during the offseason. And they're ranked 8th? Below the Falcons? Ha!

Just because they won it all doesn't mean you have to rank them #1, sure. But 8th?

You'd think that would be enough to at least be the highest ranked team in the division. Seriously, the Falcons?

Glad to see my Ravens getting some love in these rankings, even if they do mean squat at this point in the offseason. If they stay healthy, they should dominate the AFC North this year. Seeing what Flacco can do with Boldin, Mason, Stallworth, Rice, Heap, Dickson, Pitta, and McGahee is gonna make for some exciting TV.

There really needs to be a pic of the straight jacket guy yelling "Cowboys Cowboys Cowboys!"

I know most are joking...but it's just pathetic how much time and energy (obviously bereft of thought) people put into hating a team from a game.
