I remember driving to work in Canada a few years ago and hearing the ex-Prime Minister (Kim Campbell) use the F-word live on CBC radio. It was about 7:30 in the morning.

And now come to think of it, I also remember a clip of another PM's voice (Jean Chretien this time) constantly saying "C'est la bullsheet" over my airwaives for about three days straight.

Think about the rhetorical effect of telling a generation of schoolkids that the president is not being appropriate. That really does make BP look like the good guys.
