I once looked into the standards for MI5 and CSIS. They wanted no men over 6 feet tall, because tall men could not blend into crowds and people paid more attention to tall men. That would matter quite a bit on a security detail, I should think.

It is silly, but still true, that leadership is more easily sought by more physically imposing people. So I understand that he'd try to create the image of being bigger. But at the point where you start looking like a vain, insecure person by standing on your toes and on boxes, and hiring short people, I think there's a problem.

I'm 6'3" and if I needed body guards I'd want them to be BIGGER as far as it made them more likely to successfully tackle an assailant or take a bullet.

At least you didn't mess it up for one of your sons. My father is 6' 3" and my brothers are 6' 2" and 6' 4". Mom is 5' 7" and I'm 5' 7". Guess which one of the kids must have gotten a short gene from mom?
