Similar thing happened at State College, PA a few years back. Warning system kicked in telling us to basically kiss our asses goodbye.

The sad part was, they never recanted or explained the glitch.

I too am in SC. I live in Irmo, about a mile from the dam made of mud and sticks. My daughter's school has a "plan" if it breaks. Like "kiss your sweet ass g'bye"?
