Those wacky hooligans.

2003-05-22 05:37:35 AM
and this article is interesting, why?

2003-05-22 05:37:49 AM
<--- Ever notice that the featured personals are filled with either hot asian chicks or spazzy white guys lately? What up wit dat?

2003-05-22 05:38:23 AM
Calling all football fans hooligans is a dangerous generalisation - a bit like calling all Americans moronic redneck crack-heads

2003-05-22 05:39:55 AM
And where is there any mention of hooligans? Stupid poster.

2003-05-22 05:45:10 AM
Who the hell is the idiot who posted this headline and who is the isiot who approved it? Where does it mention hooligans? There was little or no trouble before, during and after the match and the seville police made a negligible amount of arrests.

Again I say the person who posted this headline is an idiot.

2003-05-22 05:45:19 AM
Yeah, these guys are Scottish football fans, not English football Hooligans, get it right American peeps.

2003-05-22 05:46:26 AM
Oh and I forgot to say - Unlucky Celtic.

AFC 1903 - Still Scotland's European top dogs =)

Notice soccer is played mostly by countries with the poorest education systems and the highest rates of poverty (Brazil most notably). See, this just reiterates that not only are all soccer players truly hooligans (remember how Pele barely beat the triple homicide charge as well as the 14 counts of posession of child pornography?) but they are poorly educated and spend their time bouncing a damn ball on their head rather than like, learning to read or some silly skill. And as for players in the good ol' US of A, i attribute their love for such a stupid game mainly to glue sniffing or being a liberal (equivilant of massive glue sniffing)

Way to go with the stereotyping! Just because they're football fans doesn't mean that they're hooligans, asshat. That would be like if I said that all American football fans are fat, idiotic simpleto...... oh. Wait.

Fair point.

So what are saying ?, poor people who can't read shouldn't be allowed to play football ?. Let me guess, your a republican right ?.

Ehmm...the whole of europe plays it, which is one of the majoy leagues in the world. And have a better standard of living than the states could even dream of.

As for you referring negative feelings like:
spend their time bouncing a damn ball on their head rather than like, learning to read or some silly skill

American football, which stops every 5 seconds is a far better skill to learn!

It is of course FAR better to go to law school and sue everybody and anything for spilled hot coffee, microwaving live animals or your own fat appetite for fatty foods.

Damn. Got drunk enough to forget the result. Then I read this. Still cant figure out the Hooligan link tho.
I think someone is a fool.

2003-05-22 06:09:03 AM
I think the yankees mean football fans not Hooligans. Fair mistake when we freudian slip into World Terrorist Army Totarium States, when we are referring to USA.

2003-05-22 06:11:59 AM
The only time Celtic fans ever cause any sort of hooliganism during/after a match is when Celtic play Rangers.

2003-05-22 06:12:31 AM
Grizdog = troll (I hope otherwise..oops)

The whole WORLD plays football/soccer. So we are all poor and undereducated. damn....maybe you guys sniff glue to play american football..i know I would if forced to watch it.
the only NFL I am interested is the GAA National Football League (gaelic footy)..already started...yipee

and yes, there was practically zero trouble in seville yesterday...so someone is overdoing the glue....

2003-05-22 06:14:51 AM
Whoever submitted this should maybe have read the article before writing the headline. Grizdog is clearly a penis and Mwng is right - AFC rule!

If any of you can name something positive a soccer player, in any country has done for humanity, i will offer you a shiny new nickel. It is a sport for idiots, and it requires the thought process needed to put on a hat. Yes, Europe has soccer, however, it is the dregs of society that play it. 1-0 games played over the span of 4 hours should never be popular, and when you country has endured inquizitions + black plague + Chirac + the euro, i can understand getting excited at kicking a leather ball stiched by Polynesian 1st graders. However, this being said, their love for the game stems from the fact they have nothing better to do with their time (aside from getting drunk, which generally occurs mid-way through the second half) and that they are simple minded folk. I am not saying the proverbial "sunday watcher" american football fan is any better, but 4 billion people dont call themselves American football fans. I think Hockey fans are the only people worthy enough to breathe the air i hold near and dear to me (go avs!), and I hope that you all can realize soccer is just a sport for people to afraid to player hockey. Plus, there is more whining in soccer than @ a jewish mother's convention. The sport is worthless, and Americans have it right by giving the MLS 1/150,000,000 the share than King of the Hill: The College Years or some stupid show. And Cheeseeatingbulldog damnit, if i am the one who burns myself with coffee, you better believe I want that guy on my side, and not playing hooligan ball.

2003-05-22 06:26:50 AM
even though my knowledge of hurling is limited to seeing 10 seconds of it on Fox World Sports, i love that Guiness commercial with the hurler, that was good stuff. Soccer sucks btw.

grizdog

how are the accomodations in your parents' basement?

2003-05-22 06:34:43 AM
Taken from Grizdogs webpage:
"I love to act first of all. I am a professional voice actor (most radio and TV ads along with corporate instructional videos, and someday...cartoons...just you watch). I love to write, act, do voices (clearly), play golf, big time racquetball fan, and I would venture to say i know as much about any form of professional sports as anyone. All of that above translates into "he has too much free time"
If I get around to it, i will try to put my demo CD in MP3 format on here"

hahaha

They are surprisingly comfortable to be honest with you. I mean, my mom's cooking is superb, i got the DSL flowin' on the new Alienware notebook, guy a fine king size bed down here, the folks dont bug me much. I do however object to the rather poorly placed water heater however, and i solely blame it for my sleepless nights. Once i stopped being afraid of it and began to realize that even if it could move, the likelyhood it would kill me in the middle of the night was slim. But really, the basement is a little cold, a little small, but overal much nicer than the craphole mosts Brazilian street rats, or "soccer players" as some Politically Correct asshats would call them, live in. How is being old and alone treating you? I'm sure when you either marry your 18 year old Korean adopted daughter or they legalize Mail-Orders in the US, things will pick up for you. Goddamn soccer player

Grizdog we all hereby withdraw our previously stated accusations upon seeing the raw knowledge and rapier wit shown on your website

LaughingGremlin - I don't know which is scarier - Hurling or the guys that play it

Damn you Geocities....seeing as the 1 visited exceeded the amount of visitors allowed....now nobody can see my term papers or my baby pictures. Meaning many kittens will have been saved you sick muthas. And yes, i realize the website was done pretty much like a 9 year old would write it, I'm painfully aware. But however, i will submit, i write somewhat well for a 9 year old. Can i at least get that?

Nicholas Stearn, I tell you this once and once only, i never, ever drink coffee. Coke and Dr. Pepper, and the occasional Liption Lemon Ice tea are the only beverages that i deem suitable for consumption

lg yep getting battered about he head by an ash stick several times a week really isn't known to improve sanity

Hurling? Pah, Shinty my friends is the sport of the psycho.

Binnster - Aye that they do, was at a sporting lunch a week ago last sunday where none other than the legendary Joey Harper was the guest speaker. Ace. 1983 is still the benchmark for Scottish club football in Europe.

Once again Celtic, commiserations, I was cheering for yez.

Grizdog,

I want my nickel!

Lucas Radebe, a fine example of a footballer who gives to humanity: he's a leeds player from South Afirca who has just receved the 10 Seasons Award for Contribution to the Community and for being an examplary football ambassador for South Africa.

http://uk.sports.yahoo.com/030414/21/dxqfe.html

Not all footballers are gimps.

2003-05-22 07:02:27 AM
Grizdog is right. I was going to head off this afternoon for a kickabout in the park with my mates (jumpers for goalposts - you know the routine) but instead I've decided to go for a good old game of hockey instead. shiat - no I can't as I don't have any of the padding, hockey sticks, and as I'm assuming you're speaking of Ice Hockey here, no farking Ice Rink. Damned elitist sports. Oh well, I guess I'll just have to stick to 'sakker'. Damn this poverty - and I was born for equestrianism too.

2003-05-22 07:03:35 AM
Grizdog - Congratulations.

What a relief that Celtic lost. Just because they managed to get to the final of some second rate competition I've had to put up with numerous Scottish colleagues using this as proof positive that the SPL is not the pathetic excuse for a football league that we all know it to be. Celtic are an extremely mediocre team with one oustanding player.

Listen to whatLeshiksays, the voice of sanity in a chorus of madness!!!

2003-05-22 07:11:09 AM
Ahh, nothing like a Cockney, Londoncentric, blinkered, ill informed comment this time of day. How many teams in England? 1. Arsenal almost count as a half.

2003-05-22 07:14:13 AM
Delboy - Can you leave the bitterness, sour grapes and Scots bashing to us Scots? We do it so much better. Winning doesn't come naturally to us - so we like to make the most of it when it happens. Unlike most people we have developed the peculiar art of being very good losers (no jokes about lots of practice please), and very bad winners. But it was wonderful to see an "extremely mediocre" Scottish team stick it right up two relatively talented (both made Europe) English teams.

2003-05-22 07:14:41 AM
I salute the Bhoys on a job well done. Although they lost -- it was a great run, and I'm happy to have been able to have seen the game in a pub in Glasgow.

It makes me angry when a team goes up with a short amount of time left and makes fools of themselves diving and rolling all over the pitch. I can honestly say that at least the celtic won with pride, and Porto were crying babies until the last minute.

I thought it was great when Lennon waved in hand in front of his face while close talking to a Porto player, joking about his bad breath. Way to go Hoops. Good luck on Sunday. Show the Rangers who's the best team in Scotland.

2003-05-22 07:15:10 AM
Still, actually, i hate footy, in general, as having been a football 'widow' for a while til I had enough of watching vitally important 3rd division Welsh League lllfdjvuebebc vs llueyrbnkv when it is 0-0 in under 12 final extra time *blah*( made up teams names..I think..i hope) but you get the idea....its a good sport, but jebus, don't ever date an obsessive when you don't actually give a sh!te ur self. The new BF doesn't really watch footy. Unfortunately he loves formula 1...aaaaaaaaagh.

That reminds me of this one movie I saw when I was in England about a soccer (sorry, football) fanatic whose life depended upon his team (err.... club) winning. In any case, he also had a girlfriend/wife who couldn't care less about it. I think it was called "Fever Pitch" from around 1997. Good movie, by the way.

Wuzupperson

Seen it, got a laugh out of it. The Ex didn't. So I killed him *no, not really, but I sometimes wish I did*

Its fine if you are a normal fan, hell I go crazy when Kerry are playing and wouldn't miss a game for love or money, but thats maybe 10 games in a whole year, Not every Farking game played in every country by all srts of standards..ie even a crap game by a crap team, bit obsessive. Yeah, that and he didn't like doing the s#x often enough for my liking.....twat. No worries there now, though, Formula 1 or no formula 1 *he he*
