I'm going to make some assumptions but not post them here and then read the article. I'll let you know if I'm right or not.

Subby, the scary tag in so applicable it's not even funny. This woman should not be on the road.

Eh, it's Korea. Who cares? In most states, you'd never be able to hit a number like that because of the lockout times on failed tests.

I bet she was so excited she had to stop and get a snack at a drive-thru then text all her friends while driving home.

In her defense, it only took her ten tries to do the driving portion, it was the written portion that took 960. That can be a really tough test if you---

Wait a sec...

Are you friggin kidding me? She took the test 960 times at nearly a daily rate? At what point do you just *know* every single question they could possibly ask??

"Jeez I remember this one from yesterday, and the day before, and the day before, and the day before, and the day before...and a year ago. Shoot, what was it... hmm..."

I wonder if they tell you which ones you got wrong, and if they tell you the correct answer?

Still- she's gotta have some idea which ones stumped her. If you're going to take it 960 times... just guess randomly and eventually you'll pass.

Wait a second. I'm now thinking that's exactly what she did.

Unless it's a huge test, I would have expected that to happen long before 960.

When I took the test in my state (oh so many years ago), I think there were 20 multiple choice questions with four choices each and there were 4 or five possible sets of test questions - so to take more than 400 or so tries would require deliberate stupidity.

You know, the thing about a Asian woman driver... she's got lifeless eyes. Black eyes. Like a doll's eyes. When she comes at ya, doesn't seem to be living... until she runs over ya, and those black eyes roll over white and then... ah then you hear that terrible high-pitched screamin'.

I agreed at first, but it looks like she passed the driving test this time. The story you're thinking about is when she passed the written test

My ex girlfriend was a South Korean girl who somehow managed to get a NJ drivers license. I let her drive my car around New York City once when I was hammered drunk and had to be out of a no-parking zone by 7 am. I thank god every day that I'm still alive. Even drunk, my driving would have been safer and less scary than hers was. Afterwards, after like 17 tries I had to switch spots with her and parallel park the damned thing.

Stop being prejudiced. Not all women or Asians are bad drivers (you should learn to spell). Also derogatory generalizations are not terribly useful, you should learn a thing about the logic and reason.

Old news, so how 'bout an old pic?

Ok. So here's my list of observations:
1. When I'm furious at a fellow motorist, and I can look over and see them it is:
a. 75% chance of being a woman.
b. 50% chance of being over 40.
c. 10-15% chance of being asian/indian.

The initial hypothesis was that males under the age of 40 are the drivers I am least infuriated by.

I thought more about this, and about my experience being a white male driver under the age of 40.
They drive fast. Therefore, if they piss me off, they are straight up gone before I can see that they are white males.

Furthermore, the pissing off doesn't last 15 minutes... EVER.

I'm never mad at a guy my age for driving right next to someone else in the left lane... matching speeds with them for 5 to 10 miles before needing to cut in front of me to exit on the right.

I'm never mad at a guy my age for riding his brakes going downhill towards a greenlight.

I'm never mad at a guy my age for not knowing the difference between yielding and stopping.

My point?
Guys (at least I do anyway) think about driving while they drive. I think about who is around me, how far away they are, which lane I need to be in, and in how far, how braking would affect the cars around me, whether people can get around me if I need to stop in a lane to turn left (and how I can facilitate that), etc, etc.

I don't know if the ladies... care.

/ymmv
//ALL anecdotal.

Personally knew a girl that failed 10 times, passed on the eleventh...

Her mom got 'er a new car to celebrate. One month later, it's wrapped around a tree. She gets another new car. 6 months, totalled by rear-ending someone.

...and yes, her mom bought her yet another car.

/ I still think that a standardized gov't driving class should be mandatory, like in Germany...
//...and no damn phone use of ANY type while on the road.
/// All cars of teenaged drivers and senior citizens will be speed-limited to 55 MPH, with waivers for exceptions.
