We really don't, and it's pathetic. The meaningless hate of a race of people for actions so old and so singular is something the Nazis would truly be proud of.

The kid didn't understand the question and neither did I at first.

He was asked if it was true or false that the German word for basketball was "bieber". The kid didn't understand what was asked and the interviewer never went back and asked the question clearly. It was confusing and the kid said he didn't understand.

I don't know much about this kid but the little I've seen of him speaking on TV leads me to believe that he is probably smarter than the average 15 year old.

That sounds like something a fan of Justin Bieber would say.

"bieber" comes from old German for beaver.

If the kid really doesn't know what German is then he is thicker than a plank of petrified wood.

After seeing him performing on stage with Stevie Wonder I personally would like to slap him.

To be fair I got thrown off too. "Justin, uhhh... Bieber, sorry, is German for basketball, true or false?" Sounds like he's saying his full name them asking "is German for basketball?" like a bad Wayne's World joke. Cut the talentless kid pop-star a break.

I don't know what was so hard to understand, I got what he meant the first time he said it. Bieber is a retarded ass clown.

"we don't say that in America"

Don't way what, Justin? Don't say the word "German"? "Basketball"?? I don't get what you're trying to say.
Also, you are Canadian, please don't reference a country you have no part of as if it's your own

Was it Kierkegaard or Dick Van Patten who said, "If you label me, you negate me?"

I don't know what a Justin Beiber is, but with a last name like that, I'd've assumed it knew German...

This.

And I blame pop stardom instead of public schools. If he weren't a pop star he'd be in school...possibly learning German.

2010-05-04 08:27:41 AM
Send him to Darth Benedict. Then he will learn what "German" means.

2010-05-04 08:33:24 AM
The stink of stupid, blind fans... ahh...

The interviewer made "German" clear. He even should the kid the card. Bieber doesn't know what German is. Period. Now if you really gave a crap about the kid you would be worried about his education. Does he have tutors or not?

Personally, I'm looking forward to many years of dumb ass comments.

2010-05-04 08:53:18 AM
Ok, I understood the kiwi straight away, but being in the studio with him, maybe Ellen Page Justin Bieber didn't. Fair enough.

When he started to repeat "German" over and over, that's when the kid wandered into stupid territory.

When he let the kid READ THE CARD which was written in ENGLISH and he still didn't understand "German"... he's a Palin-American, no doubt.

2010-05-04 09:23:56 AM
Oh come on people. Seriously. I don't dig this kid's music at all, but the host did botch the question pretty much.

The way he fumbled the question made it sound like the question was, "Is German for basketball". It certainly doesn't come across like he doesn't know what German is. Jeez, some people are desperate enough to cling to anything. He didn't understand the question, and I didn't realize what he the host said right away either. Fortunately, we have the privilege of being able to replay it.

I'm thinking his name, "Bieber" has got to be german... he looks pretty arian. You would think that he would know what a german is.
Probably didn't understand what that guy was saying, twas a pretty thick accent.

So when the interviewer showed him the card & pointed to the question, the kid couldn't read it because it was written in Kiwi?
