Behind a six of 'Moxie'.

They probably didn't offer that course when he went there.

When I was considering ITT back in the day the closest thing they had to a computer course was electronics engineering technology.

Hi, you must be new here. That is a common line used around here on FARK. There are no spelling mistakes in his post even for an ITT graduate.

So, why don't you sit down enjoy some beer and bacon while you work on the recall of your high school diploma.

So, the cops like to play "I am a little girl." games eh? I bet he takes his work home for 'research'.

"I had to endure 80 hours of kiddie porn."

Cops are the biggest pervs on the planet. It's just that they get to be dope using, hooker chasing, old people shooting, on line pervs legally.

When I was a kid the cop could do no wrong. Now that I am grown, I see them for the liars they are.

No, I am not condoning the dean. However, to catch a perv by being a perv makes you a farking perv.

Do you smoke in front of your kids and then punish them for smoking? If so, then you are a hypocrite.

You lead and teach by example. And the example the police give me is not a nice one.

Eyebleach, stat!

Either way, will these tards ever learn? If you're on the internet and think you're talking to a 13 y/o girl, guess what? It's ALWAYS a cop...

Granted, if they continue to stay clueless, we can still catch them. If they learn from other's mistakes, then how are cops going to be making the easy, headline grabbing arrests rather than solving the "real" crimes? You know, fender benders and shoplifting.

I remember that guy. I think we determined that the hole in his stomach was some sort of sore from the edge of the computer desk - probably exacerbated by jiggling (if you know what I mean). He actually WAS talking to a 13yo girl but she got adults involved before he could meet her in person. WOW was how they met.

When I originally decided to return to school in an attempt to escape my factory job, my wife urged me to contact ITT Tech, "since you're interested in Electronics and stuff."

Three weeks later, after the recruiter made two unannounced visits to our apartment, and tried to talk to me in the parking lot at my day job, she finally accepted that given the high pressure sales tactics, it was a place not worthy of further consideration.

( Later, I interviewed for an internship at ITT Communications Systems, where I had the privilege of noting the separate path of recruiters set up for the ITT grads from across town. They were all smug until they realized that their line of recruiters and booths ended at another set of doors into the parking lot, and those of us in the other line were actually going into offices for interviews. )

I had some trouble getting a job after college, so in my frustration I took the ITT online network admin quiz. It consisted of "where's the start menu?" and "What is an IP address?" and other stupid shiat. I got a perfect score.

A week later some lady from ITT called me and told me I scored very highly on the quiz and if I was interested in coming to ITT. I said "No, I have a degree from a real university and I was just curious to see why students from your 'school' get jobs before me."

Congrats. Generally, hiring types are looking for the degree. They do not care what it says on the stupid piece of paper, just that it exists.
This is all further evidence that Higher Education is a farce. I learned 4 things from my two years at ITT, none of them regarding Network Administration (my focus). Mainly, I learned that it costs a ton of money to subdue morons that were told in college that they cannot hire excellent people who chose not to waste money on college.

I don't think you realize how much ITT cost. It can be $40-$50k. I doubt a 4 year degree from a real school cost much more. I'd also say that if all you wanted to do was become a system admin then why bother doing either? Get a job as a help desk guy at a small business and learn on the job. A lot of those places will train you on the job.

I have worked IT in academia for the past 5 years, and trust me Administrators do not have to know jack about their technologies. Also, IT people get to hold administrator's hands for everything because they are up there on the pay scale and get more pull.

/not getting a kick
