2003-05-11 03:32:38 PM

We cannot have one without the other.

2003-05-11 03:38:41 PM
Where the hell did the 'Sappy' tag come from?

2003-05-11 03:40:47 PM
We got the Sappy tag when fb- first became a father..

2003-05-11 03:41:06 PM

2003-05-11 03:49:28 PM
It brings a tear to your eye and a shot of rum to your Coca-Cola.

2003-05-11 03:50:29 PM
maybe they purposely induced labor on that day just to be all glurgey.

yeah, and, maybe the baby was only in its seventh month! nobody thought of that, did they? grr, it's inhuman!

2003-05-11 03:51:04 PM
chick submitted and chick admin approved.

2003-05-11 03:52:51 PM
On a lighter note...

Happy Mothers Day to all you farkette mothers out there.

2003-05-11 03:53:13 PM
Well, me and my brothers are all named Daryl.

2003-05-11 03:55:13 PM

2003-05-11 04:05:02 PM
oh my god, i just read the post and my AND my dad's birthday are both may 2nd. i'm serious.

2003-05-11 04:06:14 PM
That's nice. My sister and a supervisor at work were both born May 2, 1974. Neither one of them is right.... :P

On that note, my son was born December 16, my husband's paternal grandmother's birthday. Had he been born a week later, December 23, he would have been born on my maternal grandmother's birthday.

I don't know of anyone in the 400-500 in my family tree that shares my February 27 birthday.... :)

2003-05-11 04:07:08 PM
All the males in my family except for 2 have their birthday on the 25th. Me Dec 25, Dad Oct 25 etc...

2003-05-11 04:11:18 PM
The next day, doctors decided to perform a Cesarean, and Shelby Abigail Sutton was brought forth at 11:27 p.m. May 2 at Terrebonne General Medical Center.

My mother was 36 when I was born at TGMC. I was there when she died at TGMC, on my 36th birthday. Dad and my grandparents died there also.

Good luck, little Shelby.

Mom, wherever you are, Happy Mother's Day.

(and the same for all you other mothers....)

2003-05-11 04:16:59 PM
I wonder if the youngest one will plan for her kid to be born on the same day.... "Okay, mom and grandma farked on such and such a day, so if we fark on that same day, maybe the kid will be born on May 2nd!"

BTW: I was born on my grandma's birthday... give ME a sappy tag!

2003-05-11 04:21:13 PM
wow, you don't see the sappy tag that often...

because if a guy submits, he's considered GAY....

2003-05-11 04:25:23 PM
My husband was born by c-section at our local hospital. And so was our son. Like father, like son, huh?

/got nothing

2003-05-11 04:25:39 PM
My grandmother died on the same day as Princess Di.

Guess which one I care about more?

Thanks, world for constantly bringing the date to my attention every farking year.

People get drunk on my birthday (May 5th). By the thousands. How sweet is that?

Anyway.. resume the steady increase in the flow of theses comemnts.

2003-05-11 04:26:17 PM
Wait, they had to consult Lexis-Nexis to calculate 365^2? Tards.

2003-05-11 04:29:49 PM
My sister and niece were born on Dec. 1st. My grand-niece (great-niece? my niece's daughter) was born on Nov. 30th. So close.

2003-05-11 04:29:53 PM
pfizerx,

There are farkers with children?

2003-05-11 04:31:45 PM
I was born on father's day -- whoop-do-do!

2003-05-11 04:33:50 PM
I was born the day before Mother's Day, can I get a sappy tag, too?

2003-05-11 04:34:45 PM
Snappy? hmmm...new one to me.

2003-05-11 04:34:47 PM
i was born on my birthday. now what are the odds of that??

2003-05-11 04:35:06 PM
Here's something to alleviate that sap. A history of Mother's Day, complete with the mention of the woman who started it all dying a bitter, broke old harridan. Of course, I do sympathize with her cause. Commercialization sucks.

2003-05-11 04:36:42 PM
but mothers day was about a whole month ago.. like just after easter..

right?

O_O;

still dont get how two countries can have the same holiday on two totally far removed dates.

2003-05-11 04:40:07 PM
no let me alter that post.

http://www.mothersday.net/mothers_day_history.htm
yeah right

Mothering Sunday has been around since the mid 1800s..

2003-05-11 04:41:39 PM
it's mother's day?

shiat...

2003-05-11 04:43:13 PM
Actually, EddyH, the site mentions that she's only credited with bringing official observance around. Naturally a number of holidays have followed similar paths to "greatness".

2003-05-11 04:50:14 PM
:p

whatever.. personal belief is that it became official enough when workhouse owners let their employees off to go see mother ;)

bah humbug etc

2003-05-11 04:53:52 PM
Sorta ironic: today 43 years ago the FDA approved the pill.

2003-05-11 05:01:40 PM
Jeho:

There once was a man named Fayed
Whose driver took pills for his head.
They got him quite smashed,
With a Fiat he crashed,
And now poor Diana is dead.

I don't know of anyone in the 400-500 in my family tree that shares my February 27 birthday.... :)

2003-05-11 05:08:28 PM
My mom was born on 1/16, I was born on 6/11

2003-05-11 05:09:03 PM
Dumb reporter kept referring to the married mother as Ms. Sutton...

2003-05-11 05:23:32 PM
Pinko, my dad was born on 6/11. And he lives in Vancouver, WA. So close, yet so far away.
