I'm interested in subscribing to Saindon's newsletter.

FTA:that could have resulted in serious injuries or even death, according to police.

Walking down the steps in my office could lead to serious injuries or even death, but it typically doesn't.

I always find the exaggeration to the maximum in these kinds of articles to be hilarious.

That being said, there's still no good reason the cops should have to come break up a 100 person melee, especially if they're busy generating revenue in other parts of town. :)

this is lawrence - not much revenue to be had (unless they bust umass and merrimack students for drinking, but they don't want to run that business off either)

It pays to have a police scanner

/every weekend in Winnipeg, the cops are tied up in the north end and core area. During the summer it's even more chaotic. So, if all the cops are busy in one part of the city...

Saindon was on the stage watching over the club's "guest of the night" when the fight broke out.

"And the man in the back said everyone attack
And it turned into a ballroom blitz
And the girl in the corner said boy I want to warn you
It'll turn into a ballroom blitz"

and he immediately stepped out of the room to call for backup.

Rubber bullets and bean bags would have made a great finale to this story.

If I remember correctly, from the advertisements I saw in and around the Greater Boston area, the "guest of the night" was a playboy playmate.

That's the very definition of a Masshole Guido fight, over a hundred people involved, people being "savagely beaten" and in the end nobody has to be transported to the hospital. I hope the scratches and slap marks can be covered with fake and bake girls.

On Saturday, here in Flint, Michigan, off duty police officers had to be called in on overtime to handle a murder because all 4 of the on duty officers were busy at another shooting.
Flint: 34 square miles, 90,000 people, 4 officers on patol.

What tipped you off? The fact that he thought there are Italians in Lawrence or the fact that he didn't catch that the name of the bar was Club Rio.
