If this listing is still here, then they're still available. Will update listing title to say PPU or GONE if they aren't.

Wow, so posting jokes on Craig's list is now illegal.

"I was looking at all the ridiculous crap on craigslist and I thought it would be, it would be funny if I put my kids on there because how more ridiculous can you possibly get," Stagnitto said with a laugh.

Ya. Kinda like Pete Townsend was looking at child porn because of "research".

Here's an idea: before you arrest the dumbass, follow up the advert and see if he is serious about selling his kids. You know, instead of wasting your time and giving him a chance to pretend it was a joke.

Dumbass tag for EVERYBODY!

we need to see the actual ad. that would make it possible to determine whether or not it was a joke. if the actual ad resembles subby's approximation, then it would clearly be a joke.

"good for slave labor or footstools...includes 1 dirty shirt each.."

come-on, that's funny.

Ithink its funny. 2 kids, slightly used. Haha! They charged the guy with "falsly reporting an incident" wtf did he report? Didnt someone report on him? And how did they find him in the first place? did they reply to the add?doesnt that mean they should be charged with something too? Has anyone seen my stapler?

The police should have used this opportunity to out anyone who is seriously interested in buying children.

"Stagnitto was arrested and charged with falsely reporting an incident."

Seems like the douchenozzle who called the cops in the first place should be the one charged with false reporting...

Everyone knows that if you want buy a child, you have pay thousands of dollars in lawyers and fee's towards adopting a child.

Sure the dad just made a joke. The thing is, somebody else might have taken it seriously.

I understand your sentiment, but that sentence just doesn't make any sense.

How is it that he's charged with falsely reporting an incident when they undoubtedly contacted him? I suppose the police couldn't think any other charges to file. The police get all pissy like that when they investigate and it turns out to be nothing.

I remember the good old days, when this sort of thing was done on ebay.

the dad may have a bad couple months, but those stick-up-ass people who charged him will have to live without the part of their brains that controls humor for the rest of their lives. that's the worse sentence.

2010-04-24 06:00:16 PM
What I want to know is where are the kids' mother, and what does she think of their dad's "joke"? I gotta think that's going to cost more than a week on the couch.

2010-04-24 06:09:38 PM
While in poor taste, it had to have been clear that it was a joke. This isn't a good use of taxpayer money. I'm sure if they had just contacted the dad, the dad would have probably told them that he was kidding. A free phone call vs however much it costs to arrest and hold a person... hmmm...

If the ad clearly stated "i'm not serious", that would seem to help his "it was a joke" defense.

I threaten my kid with this most every day. Now that I know it's illegal to post the ad on craigslist it causes a problem Shouldn't it be legal to sell teenagers to anyone who might want one? Only people who don't have teenagers would see a problem with this.

Really, he's my kid - why can't I sell him? NO RETURNS NO EXCHANGES

/this is a joke, please don't arrest me

I saw it was from Rochester, and assumed it was my sister-in-law, and she would mean it.

Not actually sure I would buy my niece and nephew, could get them for free. Could then Ebay them, I guess

The problem with kids is they start to go bad as soon as you take them out of the box.

Firststepsadoozie: The problem with kids is they start to go bad as soon as you take them out of the box.

What's really farked up is that you have to return the defective ones in the original packaging, and Mom almost never allows that.

What, no one looked at the picture? Seriously, the guy looks like he'd sell his kids for an eightball.

Looking like a douchebag may not be a crime, but it should be.

/kinda serious

"Certainly when it comes to children we're very serious."

Yyyyeah. uh...

It was a joke, you fat, overpaid wankers. And a funny one. And when those kids grow up and see the copy dad saved, they're gonna laugh their asses off.

You know.. humour? I think more kids should be given a sense of humour if they're gonna survive a world run - badly - by flatulently self-important bumpkins like you.
