I think the failure of many anti-drug education programs is due to treating all drugs equally. When you lump in cigarettes, alcohol, marijuana, and caffeine with heroin, meth, and PCP, kids figure you're completely full of crap.

The real truth is that a lot of the stuff they said in DARE is lies, except about PCP. Pretty much every bad thing you have ever heard about drugs is true about PCP.

That stuff is BAD for you...

PCP, heroin, and meth were always my "NO!" drugs. Never seen anything but waste-cases in each, and the H was easy... I hate needles.

My favorite PCP moment is on an episode of COPS where a naked black man was walking down the street and punches through a wood fence, all while screaming and shouting nonsense.

He starts bleeding profusely and it takes like seven officers to eventually hold him down and cuff him. He felt no pain and was in full on Naked Superman mode.

We should mix PCP with the NFL and call it the Hyper League.

Crazy story. I feel bad for all the people whose lives he just selfishly farked up. However, one moment of nice happens right near the end of the vid. A huge white cop with a shaved head (!) wanders over to 2 black cops and just throws out his hand in a big friendly "well-done" handshake. I thought the race war was totally on in TX? Maybe there's hope for us yet.

I wonder if a few more cops could have showed up at the scene. In one frame I can see at least 16 squad cars. Who's policing the rest of the town?

The town I grew up in tried to change the name of a street in a bad area of town from "Rauhut" to MLK Jr. The reason?
"Everyone that lives here knows that Rauhut street is in a bad part of town. We feel that changing the name to MLK Jr drive would give it a fresh name, without all the associated bad vibes that go along with the name Rauhut street."

Really? The only thing it will do is make sure that anybody that comes to our town will already know that it's a bad area of town, whereas if you leave the name Rauhut, at least they won't know right away.

True, I've been in a total of TWO cities (Madison, WI and Goldsboro, NC) that had a MLK Drive in a decent part of town.

DXM is to PCP what a .22 is to a nuclear warhead. Both technically dissociatives, but PCP is on a 'whole nother level. Very toxic for you.. it's about the only thing that the DARE folks got right.

Scary chemical. I'll try anything, but making an exception here.

What was your dosage in mg/kg, also was it DXM cough syrup or boring codeine cough syrup? DXM has very distinct plateaus based on dosage levels. Third plateau was the best for me.

/drank it for almost two years straight. Took about a day off every two weeks. Was up to 900 mg to 1 g a night.
