I like Francoeur. I don't like Jerry Manuel. I'm sorry but with the kind of money they're spending on good guys they should be doing a lot better. If the current trend continues this year, Manuel needs to go.

I liked Ryan Church and I hated the Francoeur deal when it was made...I stand corrected. He's a fun guy to have on the team - he seems to enjoy himself and he plays hard. As for Manuel, as soon as he learns how to pitch, hit, and prevent players from getting injured then I'll start holding him more responsible for the team's woes. Ditto for Minaya. Santana, Maine, and Perez have all lost 4-6 MPH off their fastballs - not sure how that's Manuel's or Minaya's fault.

I think they're just going to keep this game going until Jerry's dead.

2010-04-17 08:54:50 PM
They're batting 110%? That's unpossible!

Is there anybody that the Mets are not behind?

/it's only April. Still plenty of time for someone to pull a New York Mets and choke away an easy season.

It's the game that will not end. It goes on and on my friend...

Someone has to run out of pitchers eventually.

Speaking of the Mets: This is the most retarded and stupid baseball game I've ever seen.

Came here to say this.

Also here to say that after today's game, with all of the 0 for 7s, that 110 is ABOVE their average.

This game is awesome in a "...WTF" kind of way. :) I never watch baseball, I actually turned the channel on to watch America's Most Wanted (yes, yes, I suck), but got drawn into the Epic Fail unfolding before me.

*turns on game*

Wait... 17th inning, no runs? Is it a pitchers duel, or just one big inning of fail after another?

2010-04-17 10:02:05 PM
Ten games played and the Mets are 4.5 games behind the Phillies. Now that's what I call managing!

Epic quantities of fail. Its beautiful in a way.

I dislike Tim McCarver (see my post above), but I'd be a little angry if I were him for the way Kenny Albert is seemingly rubbing in that he left the booth in the seventh.

The Mets have 6 hits in 17 innings and only one in the first 12. I don't know what it is now, but the Cardinals were 0-12 RISP in the 10th. It's just epic fail.

Yeah that doesnt mean much when hes choking in every big moment or misplaying an easy fly ball giving up a run or two.

Hes a very nice guy, unfortunately hes not clutch and Im glad the braves got rid of him and his contract.

I just realized this is the same game that I happened to turn on for part of an inning before dinner. Oh geez.

In all fairness, McCarver, the Mets are already a Beer League team.
