Welcome to the social contract. The upside is that this particular violation of social norms will not, generally, get you killed or maimed (by humans at least). Instead, you might receive a fine, perhaps some jail time, and a handy scarlet letter to wear around town.

Honestly, if you're not making these statements as a thought experiment I'm shocked. Shocked like a Libertarian will be if their dream society every coalesces. They'll still be judged on deviant habits even if there is no law forbidding the practice.

Oh, sex with animals is certainly deviant (at least here and now). But deviant is not a sufficient argument for the immorality of an act.

This whole "social contract-slash-deviant act" routine is the exact same argument currently used by the anti-gay folks, and the exact same argument used throughout the centuries trying to enforce conformity to some social standard for no particular reason.

See, e.g., slavery, castes, bell-bottom pants, and just about any other peer-pressure situation.

The CORRECT application of the social contract is where there is a benefit created by conformity. Stoplights, for instance. There is nothing inherently immoral about running a red light. But we as a society have determined that it is beneficial for everybody to not do so. So, by social contract, we agree to stop for red.

There is no societal benefit from outlawing bestiality.

DISEASE.

Many diseases that animals(even healthy ones) can't be transfered to humans if the meat is cooked properly or thru normal contact-petting(not that kind). But thru exchange of bodily fluids.

You perves farking monkeys is where teh gays got aids from.

//seriously, jk about teh gays, not the diseases
