Fishbulb: I've been trying to get all the ho's together for some west coast lovin' but it's just not happening. I see you're in San Diego. I'm in L.A., but will travel 4 booze.

No not Dallas the club to many Billy Bobs. I never understood why they put their names on the back of their belts? Lets go to The Hula hut on Lake Austin. Lots of nice bOObies.

I vaguely seem to remember that the Copper Tank was a great place to drink (but I was really drunk at the time) Just make sure it is after the Texas / Colorado game...

2001-10-02 12:36:20 AM

2001-10-02 12:43:16 AM
I turn 21 in late December (29th). Somebody ppppppppllllllleeeeeeeeaaaaaassssssseeeee set up an Oklahoma Fark party for then?

2001-10-02 12:43:35 AM
Good luck, dudes and dudettes! I wish I could link up, but I'll be out of state that weekend. Even if you came here to Big D, it's just not a possibility.

Most Texans have gotten blasted once or twice in Austin. My last time was years ago when I went to see a taping of "Austin City Limits" with Willie Nelson and Kris Kristofferson. (There was a third guy, but...????)

Lone Star Beer--the series' PBS underwriter--provided pitchers of free suds to the audience before, during and after the show. But Willie was late...and most of us were crocked when the tape began to roll.

Luckily, my hotel was only three blocks away from the studios--but it still took me a long time to stagger back there. This was over 15 years ago, and nobody cared. Today I would have been jailed.

Have plenty o' fun in the cap city...but watch your FARKed asses! The Lone Star State has gotten pretty hard-assed on DWI cases--especially since they've found how profitable they are.

Hula Hut is good. Good food and good atmosphere (perched on Lake Austin). Here is a URL:

http://www.hulahut.com/about_us.html

Shady Grove is good to, though Barton Springs road is under construction:

http://www.theshadygrove.com/

Then there is alwasy 6th street, though both Hula Hut and Shady Grove are not far from it.

Microbob

PS - Ahh, then there is always Lake Travis.

2001-10-02 01:11:38 AM
Kolacky: :P

2001-10-02 01:13:30 AM
Wadafuk KOLACKY?

2001-10-02 01:19:44 AM
sweeeeet...heh

2001-10-02 01:20:47 AM
smoke a fatty for me in Austin!!!!

2001-10-02 01:31:53 AM
Let's pick something other than the chain, frat-type hangouts like Hula Hut and Shady Grove. I vote for Hole in the Wall or some shiat like that. Could do something on 4th street. There are some nice places down there.

2001-10-02 01:35:53 AM
I think avoiding Hula Hut and its ilk is a good idea as well. 6th street is only cool if you haven't done it before, but after that it gets crowded and loud. Why not something less obnoxious? Lake Travis or somewhere nice where we could party legally and loud. Near the water.

2001-10-02 01:39:01 AM
Let's get wings at BW3 and go across the street to LUCY's and listen to some music and get ripped.

2001-10-02 01:47:07 AM
WOW, Hole in the Wall is winning, and its within walking distance of me right now. I go to UT btw. Is there gonna be a party somewhere, cuz I'm 20 and they probably wouldn't let me in.

2001-10-02 02:05:13 AM
I'm in.

Please consider staying at the Austin Folk House, if you are from out of town. It's Austin's newest B&B, and my wife is the proprieter. It is about $7 from 6th street by cab, and will provide an exquisite breakfast.

The webpage isn't great, but we have been struggling to get set up. Today, we got hot water, and we are done!

http://austinfolkhouse.com

I am voting for the Hole in the Wall. Easy walking distance to Austin Folk House.

CRAP! sorry about that. usrfing and drinking. Bad combo

2001-10-02 02:46:25 AM
Wow.

"Don't drink and bake." -Arnold Schwartzeneggar, Raw Deal.

Downtown? Hmmm... Fado, Lucky Lounge, Gingerman, Copper Tank, Killjoy's, *trying to stay off 6th, but in the area* 6th is fun later, when the need to boogie hits (Element or Polly E's for the cheesers).

My yuppie ass lives up north, but can be anywhere for a FARKstival. I think Dry Creek Landing is a good place for an afternoon beer. It's a dive bar with a perfect lake view, on 2222 near Mt Bonnell, in the midst of million dollar mansions.

Oh, yeah: Oilcan Harry's for the pacifists?

2001-10-02 03:25:52 AM
Coppertank is pretty cool. Hole in the Wall is walking distance for me though. My friend knows a waitress there who waited on Sandra Bullock a couple of weeks ago.

2001-10-02 03:33:20 AM
My vote is for The Salt Lick. It's BYOB, but they don't object to bringing kegs!!! All the BBQ you can eat for $13. They keep bringing it out until you stop eating it. Back in college (all those 8 years ago...) we went out there with 20 people and a keg of Shiner. Got there at noon and stayed until 8pm. Then went back into town and partied hard. Is Pearl Street Co-op still known for its parties?

2001-10-02 03:37:57 AM
We should have the Texas fark party in Seattle so I can go :)

2001-10-02 04:10:49 AM
Sure, I'm down with Salt lick (ummmm...homestyle), but I'd be kind of hard for out of towners to find. If not hole in the wall, then perhaps Posse. If we know there's going to be a big group then we might could work something out with the owners for the underagers.

2001-10-02 04:12:54 AM
No onw will let us have it at their house?

2001-10-02 04:14:07 AM
So we're thinking of making this an entire weekend shindig? It may be difficult to keep the party going when folks are popping in and out. Maybe we should just plan on one specific evening, and then those who want to keep on partying through the weekend can do so. What I want to know is, is Mon gonna put us all up if we drive out there? :)

2001-10-02 04:27:57 AM
Hopefully someone will, I need somewhere to crash.

2001-10-02 05:03:41 AM
awright farkers.....i happen to be a bartender and the events coordinater at the club deville...i nice little anything goes cocktail bar on ninth and red river....far enough away from sixthe street to be comfortable, close enough for everyone to wander off to 6th and go wherever you wan't. besides. redriver is better than sixth, anyhow. what with ocean's eleven, 710, red eyed fly, beerland and emo's......spiro's if you wanna shake yr butt, etc......

put it this way guys....we can start the fark party at the club deville at the back bar and i can maybe hook up a cheap keg (if enough people show up) so we can at least start the whole weekend drinking free beer.....

hole in the wall would be great but it's kind of a destination club, if you know what i mean......

fark copper tank and hula hut and all that crapola.....you guys are much cooler than that.......i can hook us up at club deville...

mon, email me: witchbanger[nospam-﹫-backwards]liamtoh*com we can work out the details.....

i could maybe even book a couple of bands to play that night......

whaddya think

2001-10-02 05:11:35 AM
oh yeah, fark fado and fark the spaghetti warehouse district...........

chickee is yr friend that waited on sandra bullock named krystal? i know her. my band played the night sandra and her dumbass boyfriend were there.

woody dry creek forever cept for that old lady is kind of a coont sometimes.....maybe deep eddy?

One last thing before I stop. Lucy's also has Power hour 9-10 anything in the house $1. I have gone through 4 Rum and Cokes in a tall glass in a half and hour there before. Cheap and Fun.

2001-10-02 09:27:10 AM
