Invite? Nah, they're hiring him to do his Elvis impersonation.

What kind of beers do they have on tap? I need to know in case I have to sneak in my own hooch. Hope they have Goose Island. Loves me some Goose Island.

it's a really large bar in wrigleyville. not being 100% certain myself, i'd still place a large bet they have GI on tap.

And the other good news about that is that the Cubs are not in town at the moment. So it shouldn't be full of stupid drunk baseball fans.

well, i have no idea why a bunch of farkers would want to congregate in wrigleyville, but they do have their own section and there will be a lot of them. with a big enough crowd, you could be anywhere and have fun.

You could at least put more fans in the stands. I went to watch them play St. Louis last year and it was nearly empty.

oh i know. but you're not all 22 years old either. i'm not calling it out. i'd go if i weren't going to the aragon for the thom yorke show tomorrow night. like i said, there are enough people going that the demographics of any bar won't matter. i should have clarified that i meant casey moran's. there are definitely other places in wrigleyville i would have picked, but ... i'm not the social chair, so please disregard my comments. they will be misconstrued as overly negative, and that wasn't really the intention.

The Fark parties are always either in Wrigleyville or Lincoln Park. That's just the way it has been. No one wants to go to the South Side.

Yeah, for sure. I actually live upstairs and a few doors down from the tap room.

Seems like the fark demographic would like Bucktown, Wicker Park or the West Loop a lot more. Hell, with the beer snob percentage being so high, they'd really love the upstairs room at HopLeaf in Andersonville (probably couldn't reserve it though, I'm not sure). There's a lot more to the north side than LP and Wrigley. But again, I'm not criticizing, just wondering aloud.

There are plenty of places in River North. Lot easier for suburbanites to attend.

Nick's Uptown is about as far north as I try to venture. Uptown, Andersonville, and Edgewater are kind of scummy. And Wicker Park/Bucktown are still hipster zones, and I would consider them West more than North.

I work in Wrigleyville at a bar right across from the field. Like I could throw a rock and hit it. Trust me, when the games are away, it's dead. Tips are low and business is slow. Especially with this crap weather, no one wants to go out. Although, it is opening week, which will increase traffic a little bit. It'll be fine.

It is rather unfortunate that the two 'zones' are so separated by the interstate. It's a pain in the ass to go from Wrigleyville to Bucktown and vice versa. It's probably half the reason it took so long for it to happen.

Which, I don't know, maybe that's just me-- still really farking cold. Trust me, my wallet would love for it to be busy tomorrow, but the last few weekends and weeks, especially when there is no home game, is still pretty dead. I've cocktailed/bartended in the neighborhood for several years.
