Wow, what a bunch of scumbags.

Well, that's what happens when your scheduled week-end visit starts on Thursday!

They should have been home in their warm little jammies and bed, instead of driving around with their dad who was doing God only knows what with my grandchildren in the back seat," said the children's grandmother, Tanya Walling.

Man, I should be home in bed in my warm little jammies, instead of at work wasting time on FARK all day.

Police said the children were living in "unsanitary conditions" and that there were open beer bottles inside the vehicle.

At least they had something to drink...

There should be a mandatory exam for those wanting to reproduce.
Either that, or humans need to evolve so that they are sterile by default and would need a medical procedure done to have this ability enabled.

Prosecutors said the children's uncle had a moral obligation to protect them, but not a legal one.

Wait, what? I was under the impression that they were one and the same. Why else would we have preemptively banned gay marriage so many places?

Now see, this is why being an uncle rocks!

"This was actually part of his visitation. He actually had the children for the weekend"

Mom's gotta be a real beaut for dad to have even a hint of visitation.

This was my thought as well.

Everyone's ganging up on this guy even though the kids' hydration was his first concern.

Clearly, his own hydration was a close second.

I blame the children.

Nobody, yet. I was making a joke. You mentioned a medical procedure to enable people to breed, and that's just the sort of comment that Obamacare whiners would use to go off on a tirade on how the gubment is killin' old people & babies & favoring blacks & whatnot. It's pre-emptive mocking aimed at the Glenn Beck crowd. Because I like to stir the pot. ;-)

-1 subby for using the tired, old "mother/father of the year award". Seriously these Fark meme's have beaten the horse into glue now.

Oh wow... and just think... The kind of guy who'd do something that severe is NOT gonna be the kinda guy you're all that surprised to hear about having actually done it. And the mom found that guy so attractive that she wanted to have TWO children with him. Also I notice they got a comment from Grandma, but not the mom. I bet she's a real peach herself.

I withhold judgement until I know what kind of beer it was.

Fair enough. Let me strap myself in and get the popcorn.

That's hilarious--two people already somehow blaming Mom for Dad being a piece of shiat father.

um, does anyone know what the record for leaving your kids in a car is?

I'm sure it's just a cultural misunderstanding.

2010-04-06 11:15:34 AM
Right off the bat the article is suggesting that the youths were hungry at the beginning of their stint in the car, then doesn't go on to support it with evidence. This strikes me as a very biased story. I suspect that the dad is the victim here.

Hey, she's the one that married the scumbag and thought it would be a good idea to have kids with him.

/is your spouse a loser? Well what does that say about you?

Yeah, because half of Kentucky moved up here for the auto jobs.

It says I'm long divorced, just like a lot of other people.

If my (yeah, you can't pick family) brother was a drinker (hell, he might be one by now), this might have been him a few years back.

To have your kids on only 2 weekends per month and still need to have them babysat due to having to go cruise in bars = definition of pathetic.

/I could go on for a LONG time
/Neither me or his kids have anything to do with him for years now.
