No matter what it is it could never be as bad as the Lutherburger or the Bacon Explosion...

Reads TFA...

Amateurs. Hardee's has them beat with ease.

Other than the bacon, sounds like an interesting sandwich.

A thin beef patty would be better.

KFC has never been the same after being bought out by Yum Brands.

/Yum Brands fast food places are always disgustingly filthy

Please. This is nothing compared to the meat crust pizza at Home Run Inn. Slab of sausage instead of the bread, essentially, with the usual sauce and cheese and toppings. They even had the gall to call it "low carb".

Oh sweet Jesus, I got an erection in spite of myself.

I know I shouldn't eat that, but I'll probably be waiting in line on April 12 just to get one.

Eating out is so bad for you. I prefer to stay in and make my famous bacon egg bratwurst cheeseburgers.

Why would someone ruin a few perfectly tasty pieces of bacon with fowl?

2010-04-04 01:34:36 AM
Double down = 540 calories
Big mac = 540 calories

That doesn't make it good for you, but it's surprisingly not far worse, and comparable to other common items. Unless the calorie count is wrong. I'm frankly shocked it's not a lot more caloric.

2010-04-04 01:34:37 AM
I'd be willing to try it if any portion of the "sandwich" was soaked in rich creamery butter.

Well, maybe liberals have nothing to worry about in Teabaggers -- most will be dead by 2012 from heart attacks.

I don't know if it's my age, or the fact that I've stopped drinking (knock on wood), but I don't find ANY fast food appealing any more. I see commercials for fast food on TV and start feeling queasy. The picture of that abomination in the article literally gave me the heebie-jeebies.

2010-04-04 04:14:55 AM
I've seen commercials for this since august. Were there places in the states that didn't carry it?

2010-04-04 04:17:06 AM
Meh, I'll stick with the Baconator.

Britney Spear's Speculum: I've seen commercials for this since august. Were there places in the states that didn't carry it?

Yeah, they roll it out in a few regions before it goes nationwide. It's why the "McRib" is most often seen in the South. McDonald's hasn't offered the McRib in the west since forever.

Chicken Cordon Bleu is delicious.

I saw McRib for sale last year at a McDonalds at a rest-stop in California (I5)

I'd rather call it the Bukbuk Bac-cheese.

Bypasses are for sissies. I think a side of gravy to dip it in would be better.

Just because you expect so many liberals to be dead by 2012, doesn't mean the few remaining liberals shouldn't be worried about not having someone to support them.

I's eat it... 3 of those is still less calories than a Monster Burger from Hardee's, right?

looks like it needs more bacon.

2010-04-04 08:05:39 AM
Why bother with the non-necessity of chicken or bacon flavor? Go straight to the source and let it go straight to the hips.

Well, it looked kind of good in a novelty food sort of way until, upon closer examination, I noticed it includes "Colonel's Sauce" on the sandwich. Why do these fast food joints ALWAYS have to destroy perfectly good food by slathering it with their signature glop?

The sandwich will be available in two forms. The Original Recipe sandwich will set you back about 540 calories, 32g of fat and 1380mg of sodium. The not-as-bad-for-you Grilled Double Down totals 460 calories, 23g of fat and 1430mg of sodium.

It would be a good thing if they treated that greasy fat the same way they perceive smoking, you know stamping warning labels on it!

A king size double chicken nugget sandwich and bacon!
You joshing me, or did I die and go to HEAVEN.

The 1400 mgs of sodium is the really nasty part. We eat about 3x more salt than we should.

2010-04-04 08:18:08 AM
This is probably healthier than most fast food, since it's the sugary carbs in the bread that do more damage to you than the fat and cholesterol. Substitute ham for the bacon and it's just chicken cordon bleu for lazy people.

I don't doubt it could taste good, but not coming from KFC.

Anyways, it makes me think of this: Link (new window)

I like how the "not as bad for you" version has more sodium. I guess they have to add more sodium to hide how terrible it would taste without the fat.

Also, both of those amounts of sodium make me want to vomit in my mouth.
