From the sound of it, I'd say his porn addiction kept that marriage going for quite a few years past where it would have died.

Sung to the tune of "Funiculi, Funicula."

Last night I stayed up late and masturbated.
It was so nice! I did it twice.
Last night I stayed up late to pull my pud.
It felt so good! I knew it would.
You should see me working on the short strokes;
I use my hand. It's simply grand.
You should see me working on the long strokes.
I use my feet. It's really neat.
Smash it! Bash it! Beat it on the floor.
Smite it! Bite it! Ram it through the door.
I have some friends who seem to think that a fark is simply grand,
But for all around enjoyment I prefer it in the hand.

True, but on this issue you're not technically "by yourself", which I think is the point. For example, I dated a girl who hated it but had no problem with "toys".

What's the difference between looking at a picture and jerking off to the memory of a hottie you saw walking down the street?

Whatever sex you are, you have to be pretty naive to think your partner is ALWAYS going to be thinking of you and you are the ONLY thing that will turn him/her on. I mean, we are sexual creatures by nature. I believe in monogamy and I'm married, but gawddammit, I'm not dead.

Reminds me during St. Patty's Day, a parade of young, uniformed police men went walking by me and a couple of my friends. My heart literally skipped a beat and I was seriously swooning as these guys walked by. SO ATTRACTIVE. Anyway, I stated as much and my (unmarried) friends basically told me "OMG you are a married woman! You can't think that way!" as if a ring suddenly turned me into an asexual. I dunno if my friends were thinking marriage was like a Cinderella story or that it was my "duty" not to look, but either way it was weird.

"The Witherspoon report makes it clear that countless women - and increasingly many men - have experienced the devastating effects of their spouse's pornography use. Countless more will experience it in the future. It is our obligation as a nation to pursue the truth for their sake, no matter how inconvenient for some the verdict may be."

Yes, we must pursue the truth about porn, which apparently is already known that it is devastating to marriage.

The truth is that more porn-style bj's and less getting fat would have done wonders for her marriage.

"I agree. Marriage is for those who can't trust... but see, our thoughts are too strong on the common sense. This society's evolution is what happens when common sense becomes uncommon."

Not necessarily! Sometimes it is merely a way to ELIMINATE CONFUSION!! :)

Women get caught being naughty far less because they are more clever, manipulative, and deceptive. I can trust men and I am not insecure whatsoever, however, I like to know he wears a symbol of our love on his finger because it helps justify why I should rip any b*tch's hair out if she tries to mess with him!!

I'm not watching porn to use my imagination.

I dunno, for me it comes pretty automatically when I'm in the right mindset, which isn't always.

Regardless, I still don't need to be wacking it while looking at a schwantz.

Watching a BJ is OK with me, what I hate is when they cut to Brock Fizzlebeef's sweaty six pack right in the middle of the hottest scene. Or when he starts moaning and grunting.

/tmi

i just wish porn whores wouldn't stop spitting on dicks/vaginas. that shiat's absolutely unappealing ball drainingly HOT.

FTFM

the implication that the girl is unabashedly dry and the only way to solve this problem is to loudly spit on it is hot to you? i guess i'm not one to judge, but hmm.

You guys are thinking too hard. The spitting is dirty...it is naughty...end of story.

Dirty, naughty, uninhibitied and deviant is why we look at pron. Do not be judging my pron!!

A little spitting is ok. The full on back of the throat little bit of phlegm lugie is nasty. Also I could really do without the narration. Seriously.

From the article i can guess what the source is.

Eh, why does it have to be an either/or thing? I'd rather not choose if that's all well and good.

/and by that I mean 'both'

That's exactly what I was getting at. If my partner thought alone time was cheating, I'd drop him. I don't want either/or. I want BOTH.

my husband of 13 years and high-school sweetheart,

Probably got together too young and didn't really know what each other were looking for yet.

I know some people who happily married their high school sweethearts and a lot who, well, didn't.

And yet neurological data suggest its effects on the brain are strikingly similar to those of synthetic drugs.

The effects of every stimulus affects the brain in a manner "strikingly similar" to those of synthetic drugs.

Pr0n only eats up 15 minutes of my day. Fark wastes so much more.

Its not at all what you might think it will be.

I mean sure its fun, but between having to supply the flour, pictures of past ex significant others and the mountains of stuffed animals on the bed I was having a hard time keeping it hard.

The anal was fun though.

I agree with her. Not the government getting involved part, but I agree with the stance that porn is a destructive force. Yes, most of us use it, but can you really truthfully say it is a neutral to good force in a relationship?

Porn is always going to be here, and lots of it. But I think more studies need to be done so people can have full knowledge of its effects. If people can be fully educated about it then perhaps families can deal with a porn addiction properly. It also wouldn't hurt if couples could feel free to talk about a porn problem.

In her case, I doubt porn was the entire problem, but I'm sure it didn't help things.

Wow, they found 50 people who don't like porn to sign that thing. Scientists, even.

oh and this: " blah blah was associated with negative attitudes regarding intimate relationships (e.g., rejecting the need for courtship and viewing persons as sexual objects)"

I'm pretty good at the intimate relationship thingy, but come on, sometimes people want to be viewed as a sexual object. It can't all be super-romantic all the time! I can see where it would be a problem in exclusivity, but a little sexual objectivication can be a good thing, especially within the bounds of an intimate relationship. At least a healthy one. No need to label it as negative.

Different strokes for different folks.

I do wish however that they would get prettier guys to be in porn. I mean sometimes they have a banging body but ehh gawd damn that face.

For girls it's called a butterface - Everything is nice, but her face.

For guys it's called a "Miss Jay" - As in you know how I know you're gayer than an ice skater sneezing glitter? You look at the male pron stars face.

Againi, the problem is people not being honest with themselves...if you have a predilection for hot hot A2M and busting nut on faces but you haven't expressed this to your partner and hell, married a partner who doesn't partake in such hot monkey sex, then it isn't the pornography's fault you locked yourself up with a prude.

Prudes should marry prudes

Sex fiends need to marry sex fiends

Anything in a relationship can be a destructive force if not discussed and dealt with within the bounds of an intimate and truthful setting.

When it doesn't promote neglect of shared sexual escapades, and it doesn't cause feelings of jealousy or inadequacy? Sure. It isn't always, but it absolutely can be a neutral to good force in a relationship. Wouldn't it be kind of fun to have your dude read a steamy romance novel to ya?
