I know when I walk through the airport and onto a plane, the entire time I am repeating: Bomb, hazardous materials, clusterbomb, sniper, assault rifle, Allah, box cutter, hijack, explode, napalm, terror, terrorism, 9/11, missle.

Haven't had any problems so far!

Thank goodness for free speech and the ability to sue for wrongful arrest.

I'd guess that Subby is both referring to the fact that that broad couldn't keep her mouth shut and wishing that you don't call him Shirley.

FTA:

He said a flight attendant told him the incident started when the woman used her call button and told the attendant she felt ill. Then, on the way to the restroom, she told the flight attendants the men sitting in her row were terrorists.

Call me old-fashioned, but I really wouldn't shout anything in such a setting.

As innocuous as the word "marshmallow" is, I wouldn't go about shouting it there.

I'm JUST saying.

She shouldn't be jailed for that. She honestly thought she was acting in the best interests for herself and everyone else on the plane. Might have to pump her full of meds though

I see what you're saying, but...

FTA: The flight attendant had Manzoni sit in the rear of the plane and the attendant talked to the men. After she did, she didn't believe they posed a threat to the aircraft, the crew or the passengers

...this is the point where she would get in trouble for shouting fire in a crowded theater. Had she wanted to avoid getting arrested, she should've shouted "terrorist!" before being told there was no threat. Once told to STFU her right to free speech evaporated, no?

In this case, the right to free speech was never there in the first place. Like you said, this is the same as shouting "FIRE" in a crowded theater.

Certain speech is not covered by the 1st Amendment - yelling "Fire" in a crowded theater (unless there actually is a fire), saying "Mayday" over a radio, prank-calling 911, and uttering the word "bomb", in any context whatsoever, in an airport or on an airplane are examples of speech which is NOT protected.

So...she freaked out because she saw a voice recorder, a bungee cord, cellophane and a GPS device?

Does anyone want to guess on the skin tone of the men with these devices?

Because if brown people have a GPS, they must be terrorists. And if the flight crew deny this fact, they must be in on it.

What must go through these peoples' minds?!

*

You know, this explains a good deal of the right-wing wingnuts; they've always been crazy, but now they have something to direct their crazy TOWARDS. They can fill in with a much of semi-normal people, and not stick out as much.

Perhaps the thruthers, birthers, etc. are all the same people, simply jumping from one crazy ship to another, wherever people will accept them.

Sounds like some dumbshiat with a "Hey Watch This I'm Going To Be A National Hero" complex.

/and last i checked, you're not allowed to go apeshiat on a commercial flight w/o repercussions
//way to cost the airline a ton of farking money for the unnecessary flight diversion, psycho-hosebeast
/i'm sure all the other passengers appreciated the end result of your irrational outburst, too, as they didn't have anywhere else to be

So, loudly ordering a few sake bombs in LAX while waiting for the flight to Narita is a bad idea?

I always yell "Orgy!" in crowded places. One of these days it'll work.

Oh, yegads, can we start actually executing the hysterical idiots trying to paralyze our nation?

Everyone I know would laugh themselves to tears if someone was stupid enough to compare me to a legitimately tough person. But I have witnessed a real shooting; I've witnessed assaults and I've been involved in some real emergencies. Scary, sure, but not traumatizing. I don't know HOW the fark we wind up with retards so absurdly sheltered they think being within mere sight of a brown person means they're gonna die, but if you're that scared of death, then you deserve death. You're alive but you ain't living. People with that kind of paranoia will happily bring society down with them just to feel a little bit safer -- except they never feel safer. Their fear is insatiable.

After my one experience taking the red eye from SF to Tampa, I could see how someone would freak out.

The captain hadn't even turned off the fasten seat belt lights, we were still climbing and the endless parade to and from the bathroom had already begun.

And I've never seen so many children on a freaking airplane before, running up and down the isle. Chaos, utter chaos.

Bless the chemist who created Xanax. You are my hero.

I'm pretty sure ordering sake bombs in the first place is a bad idea, especially if you're gonna be in a tin can 7 miles in the air for 14 hours immediately afterward.

Just buy a bottle of sake or vodak at the Duty-Free store and drink about half the bottle right before boarding. More booze per dollar and you don't risk arrest simply for trying to purchase it.
