This is no more than a case of prosecutorial vindictiveness. When the state realized they were going to testify for my client, then they decided to charge them,"

It sounds like it could be a case of prosecutorial misconduct and maybe even witness intimidation as well. Disbarment and criminal charges should be looked into.

I hope the residents of this town remember this when the police come looking for more funding. I think they need to be pared down a bit. Perhaps that will help them focus on actual crimes.

I read about removal of clothing in a public forum; indecent exposure just ask Janet Jackson, gyrating their genitals in femal students faces; uuumm that's a felony no matter who you are, and groping; well that is sexual assault.

Fry the kids. Let the teach go. And fine the parents into the poor house.

HotWingConspiracy: I hope the residents of this town remember this when the police come looking for more funding. I think they need to be pared down a bit. Perhaps that will help them focus on actual crimes.

I doubt the police would have been looking into this at all if an overzealous administrator of some sort hadn't pointed them to it. Somebody who had a grudge against a teacher like this who is probably well liked and actually gets kids interested.

Then the local prosecutor who wants to run for election for something or other got involved, and hoping to win the "think of the children!" vote, decided to go all in here.

I'll defend it.

We are the south and in the bible bet, and by all means if we can't send black boys doing the sex moves in class to jail than we are no better than those damn carpetbagging yanks.

We love our stores closed on sunday.

I don't think legal action is required, but I can see why he was fired. Letting you students strip down to their underwear and grind on each other in class sounds like sexual harassment lawsuit-territory to me. He should have known what was going on was placing the school in danger of being sued and stepped in once the kids had their clothes off. All it takes is one girl to say she didn't like it or felt uncomfortable and then you're talking sexual assault.

Criminal charges is just ridiculous, though.

charges of contributing to the corruption of minors

What DOESN'T contribute to the corruption of minors? Unless prosecutors believe that the teacher taught them those moves then those kids were "corrupted" long before their little dance routine.

I have no patience for stupid people.

I would like to know more about the teacher's role and her actions in the video. It is HER JOB to conduct her class in an orderly fashion for the safety of all her students. If those boys were groping classmates as the article states, and the teacher didn't take action to curb that behavior, then she is at fault here, just as much as -- if not more so -- the males who performed those acts are. You don't just sit back and let the students run the classroom.
