Yeah, but it's not like they were using them anyway.

What could possibly go wrong?

Everything could go wrong so we may as well get this party started by replacing the National Anthem with a tape of Blind Man's Penis.

I find it INCONCIEVABLE that this could end any way but bady

What are they going to use to find each other? The Force?

You have to admit that fencing would be a lot cooler if they rigged up static electricity generators to the foils with a cable, so there would be electrical arcs and sparks.

Then the armor could have lightweight electrical stun guns under their armor, so if they were hit in the shoulder, for example, that shoulder would be messed up, no doubt about it. And if they were hit on the heart, it would jackpot, and all the stun guns would go off, dropping them like a rag doll.

You have to admit that the ratings for Olympic fencing would go through the roof.

Anne Frank hiding in the attic could have used a Fencing Foil when the nazis found her. Now what this has to do with a Blind Fencing Thread I have no idea.

On a serious note, I can imagine this would be very good for mobility training. Hell, lots of foilists and epeeists tap their blades on the ground. As long as you point them at each other, they should do ok.

Actually, my old salle would sometimes do blindfolded fencing to teach us to not rely too heavily upon vision, which is the easiest sense to trick. The vast majority of feints are visual, after all.
