Anything can work. Much in the same way that I can win the Lotto.

2010-03-28 11:59:47 AM
Sure, it'll work--right up until he finds someone even younger and sluttier than you.

2010-03-28 12:03:14 PM
Yup. Don't see why not. We've made our 22 year age difference work for 34 years now.

He's 27 and she's 2? That might be a problem.

My sister's in-laws are 25 years apart in age and have been married about 40 years so it CAN work.

That said, I want to STAB that man from the article. Any 42 year old man that would seek to spend the night in a DORM ROOM multiple times has a thin grasp on reality. Yeah, most would say they'd hit it once or twice but woah, dorm rooms suck and 42 year old bodies aren't made to sleep in wire rack single beds.

Also, MIL is finding that being in her 50s and him in his 80s is hard on her. She is still young and vibrant and he is wandering along death's highway.

O'm 42 and I've been involved with a 26 year old for about two years now. We met at my 40th birthday bash and one thing lead to another and it's been great for both of us.

That said, I was single, didn't have a wife and a couple of young kids, and she was already out of college. This guy is pushing things a bit...

I was thinking "cool, maybe I should be so lucky" until I realized he was cheating on his wife.

Relationship status: It's complicated.

And isn't it always complicated.

It could, if he keeps her whore mouth shut and I don't end up in jail.

One of the few articles I just stopped reading. Guys are raked over the coals for cheating (Tiger Woods and Jesse James), but this woman gets to write a three page article about her being a mistress? Fark her story, find some available guys and stop complicating other peoples lives.

When I was 19, I dated a 30 year old...So the line used on me was "oh she's waaay mature for her age" when we finally were in the open about our relationship. I lied to my parents about how old he was and shaved off 5 years from his age. I liked older men.

2010-03-28 03:50:03 PM
Yeah, Baby! (in my best Austin Powers impersonation.)

Having staggering amounts of sex with him certainly helped.

Well, derp.

It's a good life lesson for a stupid little girl, who has daddy issues.

/Now if she was 18....

It can work. One dude, I recall had a wife that was 23 years younger than him. Their marriage went the distance...down in the fuhrerbunker.

Current GF is 10 years younger.

Previous GF was 14 years younger.

God bless all you lousy dads out there. You're probably raising my next GF.

Yeah, I kinda face/palmed my way through it. Her conclusion says basically "Do I worry that he's going to cheat on me? No. Because our love is special."

She maybe 18 but she sounds 12. I don't think this guy is farking her for her wisdom.

HA! Well played, young lady.

This is not a love story. This is a 17 year old girl farking a 42 year old married man.

And why would the author actually ADMIT to something like this? Does she really wear this story on her sleeve, as if it would impress friends and family?

2010-03-28 04:01:19 PM
Okay, three things to be said here:

1. She was 17 (read: stupid, naive, etc.), and got played hard, and obviously has daddy issues. Oh, the article we will read when her breasts start to sag and she gets crows' feet, and suddenly it's time for a NEW intern.

2. She is a whore. I am engaged to an older man- I'm 22, he's 35- but he's SINGLE. He's a whore too, and they're both the scum of the earth. Admitting that one knows someone is married, but "loves" them anyway and does it does not make it better, it just shows how clueless you are.

3. This girl sounds so out of touch it isn't funny, not realizing that his children will probably hate her, and that she's likely just another ride on the coaster. She's pulling the "look how mature I am" card, and trust me, it's just that. A card, a ploy to GET men. Don't tell me you're not looking for one when you exhibit all the signs of doing so. Men may be fooled, but we women know each other, and frankly, this girl is transparent as glass.

2010-03-28 04:01:36 PM
She's an unrepentant slut. The age difference doesn't matter nearly so much as that this man was cheating on his wife and two young children, and she felt it was all justified because their love was soooo special. I'm certainly no puritan, but this is disgusting.

2010-03-28 04:01:40 PM
I hope this lady doesn't get all out of sorts when She's 40, he's 65 and he does another trade-in for a younger model.

No, that definitely sounds like an 18 year old. I'm 22, and I won't date 18 year-olds. There's something to be said maturing in your first two years of college.

Hot teen "steals" dumbass from his wife and kids? Bad example for May-December romance.

That said, I had and affair with my high school teacher. But even I, at my young age, began to see him for what he really was: a weak, irresponsible punk without an ounce of integrity. A good man would've said either, "No. I'm committed to my family." or "Go away. Come back in 5 years after university and see if we still want to make this work."

The woman from the article is a deluded, home-wrecking skank. Hiding in the attic after being busted by your lover's wife is not a rite of passage.

And don't let me get started on the man.

P.S. I would steal Leonard Nimoy from his wife in a nanosecond.

/would live long and prosper on up on his lawn

I dated a guy 19 years my senior when I was in my 20s. We lived together for about five years and he used to joke as I got older that I was the oldest woman he ever dated. He was a manipulator and user and, I suspect, may have been a pedo.

OTOH, my cousin is married to a man 30 years older. He has kids older than her. And yet they are very happy and have been together for close to 15 years now.

/Marriage IS work but you have to have a foundation of friendship to build upon.
/Happily married to a man only a year older.
/Eight years tomorrow!

This is the most vapid thing I've seen on Fark yet.

Some idiot child whining about how her mommy and daddy made her apologize for snorking another woman's husband, but oh, she just knows their connection was real?

This kid needs a few years in the Marine Corps.

I turned down a lady a few years older than me who eventually ended up dating someone 20 years her senior. Her friends hate the idea, but somehow I'm the only one who was cool with the idea.

/it wouldn't have worked between us anyway

An other story with a different dude but from the same country comes to my mind, where a difficult relationship and a bunker were also involved.

it's funny how the ones who keep insisting they are mature for their age are the one who make the most retarded life choices

Yeah, she's pretty short on the wisdom department. It is possible that he's not a cheater but her reasoning is bogus. Over the years we've watched plenty of relationships come and go and it's not exactly unusual to see "cheating" where the marriage was effectively over and it simply took the affair to provide the nudge to actually end it. I don't see such a situation as saying a partner would cheat on an intact relationship--and so what if they cheat on a dead relationship?

2010-03-28 04:12:02 PM
What if you don't have daddy issues and you just enjoy older men? Never got along with guys my age really...
