Where did you get themons? I thought Randolph and Mortimor cornered the themon market?

What's a themon Ebay and why is dealing in them illegal?

2010-03-23 02:05:52 AM
I think a themon is from Jamaica.

2010-03-23 02:06:03 AM
Is a themon a measurement of heat or a white guy in Jamaica?

Gotta steal 'em all!

Themon!

2010-03-23 02:08:00 AM

It's an obscure precursor instrument to the theremon, but it makes this really horrible noise. It's used to attract trolls, from what I've heard.

Dang it all. I misread that as theremin. I am leaving so disappointed.

I always drink before reading the news, it makes the world bearable. I come to the comments to drown my sorrows in gin and snark.

Oh fark - criticize mass media for editorial laziness, and profit in the next breath. It's like writing a blank check for lower standards.

If you're going to have mods .. yadda yadda.

I'm all for laughing at dumbasses, but dumbasses on high pedestals are particularly juicy.

What criminal masterminds who steal toys, sell them on EBay, and then brag about it on Dr. Phil may look like: (very hot)

If I wasn't so lazy, and if I cared a little more, I'd love to look up why tf they were on Dr. Phil in the first place.

Actually, it probably isn't. Claiming something on TV doesn't make it true, and showing the clip would be extremely prejudicial against the defendants. If their lawyer had any clue what he was doing, there's no way a jury saw the tape. Hence the year's worth of other evidence gathering before the charges were filed.

I think the one on the right looks like the one on the left in drag. Which is a wee bit disturbing.

when they make it illegal to sell stolen goods online then only the criminals will sell stolen goods online.

It doesn't say much about the mod who greenlighted this when the vast majority of the comments are about a typo from the article and not about the content.

"allegedly" somebody I know received 10X the amount she ordered from Lego.... Somehow this story seems slightly legit... My kid was happy nonetheless....Couldn't be because of human error....

IIRC, they claim no money was rolling in (the usual economic crisis BS) despite the hubby being "self-employed", disgruntled and grumpy; and the missus was a long-suffering, biatching, moaning, housewife...so they were forced to do this seeing "no other option"...and they looked a little too proud of it. They had a couple of kids and took them into to Target while "reducing the inventory"...and I don't think Dr. Phil informed them he would turn them in because they had kids.

/or something like that.

2010-03-23 05:51:14 AM
Huh... just the other day I was reading on Regretsy about some insane woman who appeared on Dr. Phil for her bouts of uncontrollable rage, but it also turned out she had cheated a whole bunch of people on Etsy out of their money by closing her shop abruptly with multiple orders outstanding...

... and when people complained and left her bad feedback, left a gloating message about how nobody would be getting their money back. I think there are a lot of these somewhat stupid, very selfish, very unbalanced people out there, consider yourself lucky if you never have a run-in with one.
