I thought getting blown by some guy as old as your father in a rest stop WAS getting a little one-on-one with nature.

Young_Fart: Oh, c'mon, it's happy fun time. Why ruin it?

Nevermind, "There's Something About Mary" already did that.

Now it's back to the "Old Reliable", leaving the faucet on in college library bathrooms...

Heyzeus: I think you'd better study a little harder. If they made the error in good faith, and they've corrected it in a public and timely manner, my understanding is that they're in the clear. (I guess this doesn't mean they won't be sued, only that the suit would be frivolous.)

Of course, the Enquirer still has the inevitable damage to its carefully cultivated reputation for accuracy and balance to worry about...

Whee! Not only do I get my 21st article posted, but I've also attracted the likes of Mr. Wheaton to the thread!

I...I...feel...

...like a beer, actually.

And thanks for the compliments on the headline. I wondered if it was a little over the top, but then again, so are S&R.

That sucks for you. It reminds me of how public bathrooms in Parks have become unofficial "Tea Rooms". All I can say is try to find out if the park has some kind of "Gay Day" like Disney Parks have, and avoid those days/weekends. Or, try to find a park that is more commonly frequented by families.

"Shelledy said the two reporters ''naively assumed'' the Enquirer reporters understood that any information that cannot be confirmed must be considered mere hearsay."

What, the Enquirer actually doing responsible reporting? Whose naive now? And you call yourselves reporters

PreacherOTLC, well, it's not like a family picnic park, more of a wildlife refuge. No restrooms to speak of. I've pretty much hiked all the trails at my usual haunt and was just looking for different scenery. Guess I'm going to have to go to Montana or somewhere and hoard land.

you farking mormon bashers are just as closed minded as the mormons themselves

2003-04-28 11:33:12 PM
now while I DO hate the mormons, I have to tell you, we just elected one here in Mass and hes doing a pretty good job. I think somehow being a member of a fascist religion prepares you for a future of fiscal conservatism that our liberal friends just cant match

That still sucks, you should have been able to walk around without some "Freak" trying to pick you up. Reminds me of the trip I took with the local VICA for a state championship a couple of years ago.

We were about halfway to Fort Worth, and the bus stopped at some Podunk rest stop so we could take a "break". Well I was inside the bathroom, and using a stall (The urinals were all full) and for some reason; the stall didn't have any kind of a door.

Well I was standing there using the bathroom, and heard someone stand behind me. I didn't pay it any mind, just figured someone was waiting in line. Well, I finished, and walked out the stall and left the bathroom. As I was heading towards the vending machine near the bathroom, and I realized the guy who was standing behind me had friggin followed me!

Now I wouldn't be nervous about this normally, but this was a school-sponsored event, so I didn't have my knife with me like I usually do. I didn't know what this freak had planned, but I decided right then and there to head back to the bus. I can swear that freak was still watching me as I got into the bus.

Yeah, I know what you mean. This guy nearly followed me back to my car. He wasn't really a threat, though. I could've hurt him really bad if I'd been inclined, but things like that don't upset me the way they used to. I think the thing that bothers me most is the idea that just going there implies you're looking for love. The only thing I'm looking for is wild plants.

If you do that, I hope we're neighbors :)

Yeah, I agree. If I drive out to an area where it's nice, dark, cold, and preferably snowing, I wouldn't want some one trying to hit on me. Unless it's a really cute albino girl who digs weirdos like me... did I just say that aloud?

er... replace area with "National Park in Mountains".
