This one is no worse than a David Hockney.

The rest are awful.

And before anyone asks, yes there is a huge distinction between these paintings and "good" art.

But they are just as much art as anything else. And that's cool.

Being as it was just the 20th anniversary of the Isabella Stewart Gardner Museum theft, I found this amusing, courtesy of Wikipedia:

In 1996, the painting Eileen, by R. Angelo Le, vanished from MOBA. Eileen was acquired from the trash by Wilson, and features a rip in the canvas where someone slashed it with a knife even before the museum acquired it, "adding an additional element of drama to an already powerful work", according to MOBA. The museum offered a reward of $6.50 for the return of Eileen, and although MOBA donors later increased that reward to $36.73, the work remained unrecovered for many years. The Boston Police listed the crime as "larceny, other", and Sacco was reported saying she was unable to establish a link between the disappearance of Eileen and a notorious heist at Boston's famed Isabella Stewart Gardner Museum that occurred in 1990.

Well, if you read the description underneath, it's the fur beng blown off of a cow. I feel, it looks like a bison tho.

Most of those are still better than any Pollock paintings.

Of course, the ones that are worse, are REALLY bad.

Somebody submit that one for a PhotoShop contest. That's hilarious.

I had a heart attack a week ago, I am still recovering, and I had to flip that one off of my screen faster than midget porn on a pre-school classroom computer due to the pain that my laughter was causing.

I'd go back and look at it again, but it the painting with these two comments is so funny that it might kill me.

I quite liked this (new window) one. I couldn't draw as well as that when I was six, and it's got a nice surreal element to it.

"Shy glance" is a good idea for a painting.

"Suicide" looks nothing like any suicide I've been a part of.

"Inspiration" = Caveman Jebus

"The Haircut" is actually a cool sculpture.

Ego edo infantia cattus: ("More" painting)

Oh, the best part of THAT one is the text:
A friend of Mr. Winslow spotted the painting and informed the artist that he was featured at the MOBA gallery. Mr. Winslow called the MOBA office last month to tell us that he had far worse at his studio. Mr. Wilson, our Esteemed Curator, visited Winslow's studio and concurred with his judgement.

Anyone who lives in Boston, I recommend checking out the annex in the basement of the Somerville Theatre in David Square on a weekday. You can see a matinee movie and get check out the bad art for just five dollars.
